  1. Water Uptake and Transport in Vascular Plants WWW.NATURE.COM How does water move through plants to get to the top of tall trees? Here we describe the pathways and mechanisms... It's to do with chemical potential.
  2. Hmmm...
  3. If Boris Johnson was a spliff:
  4. Why do you say that? Aye, been a long two days. I resent the landed gentry having all the land they have. I should have made it clear that they were two seperate things. Will quit while behind.
  5. Dianne Abbott seems quiet of late. It's as if the media are pushing an agenda when it suits them. It'd be annoying if we found out that we're being played against each other to keep them in their stolen seats of power. If you work for something then you deserve what you get.
  6. I thought they just had it in for people less fortunate than themselves.
  7. Can we have a 'Is there going to be a war to distract us from our leaders?' thread?
  8. What could possibly go right?
  9. 1) Work out how much you need to make per day to cover costs of vehicle insurance, kit, yard, consumables etc. 2) Work out how long you reckon it will take - I like to pay myself a certain amount per hour on jobs (this includes time taken quoting, writing reports etc). If it looks like it might take a bit longer then price accordingly. 4) Who do you know with the right kit for the job? 5) I then take into account labour costs, all subbies are on day rates so they get paid their whack whenever we finish. I aim for job and knock when contracting. 6) Profit, treat your business as another person, it needs a salary too. 7) Luck, everyone needs a little bit of luck.
  10. This ^. If you decide to get an extra hand in and bash out the job in a third of a time then people can get tight.
  11. My point was that we might as well wear them while oil is still coming out of the ground.
  12. I swear when necessary.
  13. Synthetic fibers are a by-product of the oil industry. And aye, sawchips to the knackers is a bad idea.
  14. That Yaxley lemon character is a bit of a fraudster too but you seem to like him. Double standards everywhere.
  15. Brexit Party MEP worked for Cambridge Analytica – Channel 4 News WWW.CHANNEL4.COM Alexandra Phillips has admitted working for Cambridge...
  16. I've found that Czeck people are generally trustworthy. If they've made a promise then they stick to it.
  17. Brushing up on VTA terminology is a good idea eg compression forks, axioms, t/r ratios etc. As for the legal based side of things then all I can suggest is you just keep re-reading it and maybe make notes. You've already sat the exam once so you know what you're in for. Don't worry too much mate. If it goes tits up then you can always do it again.
  18. The syllabus hasn't changed much. Just brush up on what you missed last time. I failed the first time in 2017 as I got some fungi ID wrong. I recently resat it and had no problems.
  19. That sounds a little bit anal on their behalf. Did you draw a plan of sorts too and submit photos?
  20. Ha ha ha. He wants to become a refugee and claim political asylum. Haha what a melt:
  21. Goosed tree, No dropzone to speak of. It was my mate's job, I ran the ropes.
  22. 10 years. Northern Inuits. Fit as fiddles. They'd had a few pints.
