  1. Why not? If that is the case, then what's the point of them if they don't know what they're doing? If I was responsible for looking after 70 odd million people, I'd be hiring the very best people. I'll be able to source, or point you in the right direction for logs. If I make some money off it, then by all means you can have a coffee on expenses. If not, I'll buy you a pint.
  2. Mate, I'm just a scientist who works with trees. If I had a clue about politics, I'd probably be a politician. I know a little bit about viruses and how they work but I'm no epidomologist either. I'd prefer it if the people 'in charge' seemed to have a clue. I really think that the gov deserves a hiding for the way they've handled it. I can't see how anyone would think anything other than that. Unless of couse, you can enlighten me on the good work the gov is doing?
  3. Well, I have no political affiliation for starters. I'd probably vote for the green party if proportional representation was a thing. In my day to day life I see huge amounts of social division and injustice. I'm close friends with people who are heavily involved in the social care sector. I make decent business choices, which sees me alright. I employ a few people too. Both of my companies are limited companies. My accountant advised me to go that way (everyone should get an accountant). I've been on the bones of my arse more than once. I'm lucky and everyone needs a bit of luck. So, tell me about the good things the tories are doing or get back yer box. When you say that all government are cnuts, I think it's a bit defeatist. They're only that way because we let them get away with it.
  4. Post some positive and useful things that the gov are doing and I'll give them, and you, a round of applause. The way the government are treating us is shameful. Suggesting that we're too thick to comprehend what their exit strategy is. Who do they think they are? They're meant to work for us. Not the other way round, bud.
  5. Motorbike, sideswiped by a transit. Bit of a wobble and a brief flight, before landing on the pavement.
  6. You're right. My hand has been in a cast for a month after a bike crash. My leg is mangled, but mending. I have too much time on my hands and I can't even hit my bag, Hence, gnarly mood.
  7. Perhaps Murdoch has had enough of Boris. There is no defence for the PM. Apologies if I misinterpreted your reply.
  8. Is that your defence of Boris Johnson's inactivity? If so, then I'm impressed.
  9. ^and that's your defence of Bozo? Next... I'm aware that you're a six and a half foot killing machine.
  10. Kevin, despite your geographical handicap, you seem to be an intelligent bloke. Can you, in all honesty, say that you think that he's acted in a manner that suggests he's the right man for the job? This is actually happening: NHS staff may refuse to work this weekend over lack of PPE, union wa… WWW.INDEPENDENT.CO.UK Medical staff may refuse to work this weekend if there are not enough gowns and other personal protective equipment...
  11. So that's a no then.
  12. Following the damning Sunday Times piece today, would anyone care to offer a defence of Boris Johnson? The incendiary Times article is behind a paywall so here is a round up of some of the key points: 1)Boris Johnson missed 5 COBRA meetings on the virus 2The Government sent PPE stock abroad 3)Training for key workers postponed for 2+ years 4)Department said lockdown needed 4 weeks before it happened 5)Pandemic plan not implemented properly Boris Johnson should resign. Please don't say that Corbyn would be worse. Starmer has been no opposition to the shitehawks in charge. Seems like he's in favour.
  13. He's a musical 'head'.

Do you really believe that? That it's down to dysfunctional management primarily and not a lack of money? I'd love to spend a day in your head. DEFINE_ME WWW.THELANCET.COM

Nowt to do with skin colour, or as the Mail might put it ' Exotic Heritage'. All to do with competency and compassion. Two traits she appears to lack. " Then there was Prit Patel’s awful attempt at the daily briefing at the weekend, where she repeatedly refused to apologise to NHS staff for lack of PPE. Patel manages to rile just about everyone by saying – ‘I’m sorry if people feel there have been failings.’ It would be an understatement to say that the mainstream media have not done their jobs properly by holding this government to account. Only this week, almost the entire corporate media has failed to report on their front pages the fact that the UK has just hit the highest daily death toll from COVID-19 in Europe. Instead, it’s a few diversionary ‘spirit of the Blitz’ stories and reporting what videos Boris Johnson is watching from his hospital bed. The British Medical Association is outraged by the government and went public last Friday: “We are hearing reports of a shocking lack of PPE supplies across trusts in England today. The Government must address dwindling PPE supplies immediately – PPE should not be being rationed due to a lack of supply. The workforce simply cannot continue facing the prospect of either being put directly in harm’s way or facing the anxiety of not knowing whether they will be adequately protected or not.” The Royal College of Surgeons of England backs this outrage up after collating the views of 1,978 surgeons and surgical trainees. “The widespread lack of PPE for frontline staff is a disgrace” "
