  2. Or, the police escalated the situation knowing full well that it would agitate the populace.
  3. There's two sides to every coin.
  4. Everyone's got a website it seems.
  5. If the account is true, then yes, they are lucky it didn't go further.
  6. Kev, I'm not sure that Antifa have a website, given that they're not a real organisation
  7. I haven't been watching the news and wasn't aware of riots in places. I was commenting on the general state of us-vs-them. Civil unrest is inevitable if things keep going the way they are. Perhaps that's why they're trying to legislate their way out of it. Tin foil hat here, but if I wanted to put a controversial piece of legislation through and I had the resources to do so, I'd like to think that 'rent a mob' could be hired to enhance my position. It's already legal for a copper to lie to you and form a relationship with you in order to gain intelligence. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the powers that be have stoked just the right amount of discord to get what they want. The Cambridge Analytica project shows just how easily demographics are manipulated. .
  8. Aye, the change to trespass is a big concern. It's a tricky situation. Magistrates are generally wankers.
  9. Therein lies the rub. If protesting against silly things like HS2 prevents the contactors going about their lawful business, then the fuzz are free to go in mob-handed, whether they want to or not. Which is worrying.

  11. Thanks for clearing that up honey, It's good that people from across the political spectrum agree that the new 'Police' bill is a cause for alarm.
  12. Ah, so it's alright to be a cohort so long as the 'cause' is a racist one? EDL/ National Action/BNP/Combat 18/Britain First etc.... It'll all be a thing of the past if Patel and her lot get their way: What is the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill and how will it change protests? WWW.BBC.CO.UK Public protests have pushed the government's controversial new police bill into the spotlight.

  14. I used to get the pfanners with the extra 7cm leg. I'm 6'2" and they were easily long enough.
  15. Microprocessors.
  16. 1) Why do you think the NHS is in a shambolic state? c) Why do you give value to the words of a man who was called out for amending his personal blog to make it look like he was wise to the world of pandemics? A 2019 Dominic Cummings blog post was recently edited to explicitly mention a coronavirus - Full Fact FULLFACT.ORG The Wayback Machine website shows the edit being made in mid-April 2020. v) Do you reckon that Caroline Lucas has bigger clems than Kier Starmer?
  17. You probably haven't killed it enough. It will be dangerous tomorrow. Next time use a chainsaw, not a spatula.

  23. Stick a Tibeten cherry in the hole. Bonny trees, nice bark and slightly less surface roots than other Prunus spp.
  24. I'd hang fire on planting for now. I've observed that saplings and young trees appear to be particularly susceptible to ADB. It might be that a more resistant strain of ash is identified soon and propagated. Woodland dynamics are going to change, ash and sycamore are adversaries in a woodland. Emerald ash borer is also waiting in the wings: Emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis) - Forest Research WWW.FORESTRESEARCH.GOV.UK Information about the emerald ash borer beetle (Agrilus planipennis), an insect pest of ash trees
