  1. Superglue one of these to your hat: ibohr Mini Desk Fan Personal USB Desktop Fan with 7 blades, Powerful Airflow, Quite Brushless motor, 3 Speeds, Adjustable Head for Home, Office (Black): Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Great prices on your favourite Home brands, and free delivery on eligible orders.
  2. I think they've known how to push the buttons for a while longer than that; it's just easier in the digital age.
  3. Bitcoin: El Salvador makes cryptocurrency legal tender WWW.BBC.CO.UK It is the first country in the world to make the move, following a proposal by its president.
  4. That is peculiar. I'm going down to Kent next week so I'll keep my eyes open.
  5. All of them should be held accountable. I tend to have left-wing views, I don't walk round with a Che Guevara t-shirt on... I don't like liars. Which is what all the above are.
  6. I'd like to think that they might be held accountable if they're at fault. Why should we just let them get away with it?
  7. I haven't noticed anything up here, the climate is a bit different though. Have you got any pics?
  8. Covid: MPs question Hancock over handling of pandemic - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK The health secretary is accused by the PM's ex-chief aide, Dominic Cummings, of a string of errors. ^ He's well on the ropes.
  9. Haha. The worrying thing is, is that Gove is double pally with Cummings and his wife works for Murdoch inc. The other contender is Jeremy Hunt, he's positioned himself on the side of 'science' through all this, which is quite tragic as his main cock-up as Health Secretary was ignoring the science to such an extent that doctors went on strike! We're stuffed. There is no viable opposition.
  10. I bet they 'take a knee' each morning... It's bullsgit Eggs. Divide and rule has never been more active than it is now. Real-time targeted ads for any demographic, if you have the money.
  11. High Court rules: Gove broke the law - Good Law Project GOODLAWPROJECT.ORG Michael Gove broke the law by giving a contract to a communications agency run by long time associates of him... Backscratchers.
  12. I take it on board that a day rate over a fixed period time doesn't equate to a day rate. I don't know many freelance climbers who have an hourly rate.
  13. Nope, you agree on a fee for the duration of the contract. A contract can be hours, days or years.
  14. Can you elaborate? I'm not sure what you mean.
  15. You can always throw more people/kit at job, making a 'days' work into a half day. If I was getting a contractor in on a day rate the amount of expected days would be agreed before hand. If we finished a day ahead of schedule the contractor would still get the days. If the contactor took four days to do the agreed three days work, they'd get three days money. I'm not sure day rates work in domestic arb.

    Jokes???

  17. Pics or it didn't happen.
  18. It seems to be one of those cat in bag moments. Once it's out it isn't going back in. Medical records should remain private. There's a load of things I've told my doctor that I wouldn't tell another soul.
  19. Crap example: If I worked for an insurance company and it came to light that you, as a prospective client had a higher than normal chance of developing a debilitating (costly) condition, I could make money by either avoiding the risk altogether or by charging you more money for cover. At present I think it comes down to per-existing conditions. There are probably better examples but that's the gist of it.
  20. In a nutshell yes, your medical data has immense commercial value. Access to it has the potential to allow people to make money by either selling you something or denying you something.
  21. The Tories have worked out how to pull off an NHS data grab: do it during a pandemic | Marina Hyde | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Taking data from patients in England was so unpopular in 2014 it was shelved. Now it’s happening without the scrutiny...
  22. It's a similar amount of time on site even if logs are left there. I would reduce price a bit though if I didn't have to remove them.
  23. I'd leave it to the tree co. to dismantle. Cost will vary. I'd want 400+VAT.
  24. UK Special Forces soldiers' personal data was floating around WhatsApp in a leaked Army spreadsheet • The Register WWW.THEREGISTER.COM Bizarre promotion practice leads to near-inevitable breach It doesn't inspire confidence.
  25. Maybe, maybe not. Once that data has gone it's gone. Although ID is supposed to be scraped from records, history shows that hackers are a resourceful bunch. There is a significant risk of Health information being misused. Not so worrying if it's Tesco trying to sell you some discount hobnobs. I'll be opting out of sharing data, If you want to then fair enough, if not then also fair enough.
