  2. Bringing in army 'will not scratch the surface' of HGV driver shortage NEWS.SKY.COM The head of the Road Haulage Association tells Sky News he can see problems with refuse collection adding to the... Nonetheless, there is a significant problem which is unlikely to be resolved in any meaningful timeframe.
  3. I get what you're saying about easily quantifiable events. What's the difference between a sport and a game? They are called the Olympic games, but where do you draw the line? I'm surprised that Karate has never been included. I don't think 'wokeness' is as big of as a thing as you think it is.

    Hernia

I had surgery on my knee last year, the ultrasound could tell there was something amiss but they didn't know how mangled it was until they had a look. You'll be sound mate. Dr's know their stuff.

    Hernia

A mate of mine had a hernia a few years back. He was in reasonable shape and was back to his usual self within 6 weeks. You might well have got lucky and caught it before it got really bad.

  11. Bat Roosts Trees : A Guide to Identification and Assessment for Tree-Care and Ecology Professionals by Bat Tree Habitat Key (cor), Bat Tree Habitat Key (cor): New (2018) | GreatBookPricesUK WWW.ABEBOOKS.CO.UK Available now at AbeBooks.co.uk - ISBN: 9781784271619 - Soft cover - Pelagic Publishing - 2018 - Book Condition: New This book will help you identify tree features which are suitable for bats. You need certification to disturb suspected roosts. I think there is merit in getting arb-based people to do bat surveys for trees.
  12. It looks a bit like a 'black locust' tree. That's a guess, I don't really know Florida trees.
  13. One thing to watch out for with cedars is a change in wind loading. There was a decent cedar of Lebanon at Kirkley Hall, Northumberland. It was located in a courtyard and failed once it grew higher than the surrounding buildings.
  14. '£600 a day is barely going to get lads through the gate': What the 'insane' demand for brickies and materials means for Manchester's building boom - Manchester Evening News WWW.MANCHESTEREVENINGNEWS.CO.UK The city centre is set for another slew of new residential towers, office revamps and venues, but the construction... Your brother might want to stockpile materials if he hasn't already done so.
  15. There's a massive microchip shortage. My brother works in that sector and he suggests that it's looking pretty turbulent. If you're thinking of upgrading a PC, now isn't a bad time to do it.
  16. Do you think that the 'Pingdemic' is being used to compensate for the lack of HGV drivers for the reasons mentioned above, or is that a bit too tin-foil hatland?
  17. I agree it would be better to train up people here. They lowered age in 2009 so there's been plenty of time to invest if they wanted to. I'm not sure what we're supposed to do in the interim though, 76,000 is a lot of drivers to train. From last December: Please Wait... | Cloudflare THELOADSTAR.COM
  18. Does this seem credible:
  19. Well said. Loneliness can be troublesome. Talking to people helps if you've found yourself in a hole. Professionals know what they're doing and should be sought out if you're having troubles - it's far easier to talk to a stranger who knows their stuff, who won't judge you for being hammered at 9am, and also knows exactly how to help you out of it. Also, confide in any mates when you can, they maybe be a little shocked when you tell them the extent of yourself but they're your mates and will do what they can to help. Go out on the pull if that's what you want, it worked for me. Get a pet of sorts if you are on your own, even if it's a fish.
