  1. Everyone slashes in the back of the van. Site rules. Makes for better woodchip too.

    Jokes???

  3. Hot knife melts/seals the end while cutting if you have tape wrapped round.
  4. I just wrap some electrical tape around the piece to be cut, heat up a sharp knife on the hob or a lighter and then cut through. Reminds me a little of hotknives.
  5. We're throwing away opportunities all over shop: AWS tops up the Bezos rocket fund thanks to more money from Brit tax collection agency • The Register WWW.THEREGISTER.COM A 48-month, £41m hyperscale cloud service deal done with HMRC Taxpayers foot the bill: HMRC signs up Cognizant for £150m low-code, automation project • The Register WWW.THEREGISTER.COM Brit tax collection agency's IT estate contains 'significant risk'
  6. Offshore wind sector in north-east England lifted by investments | Manufacturing sector | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM More than 1,000 jobs created or safeguarded as SeAH and Smulders projects are backed by state funding Do you think that they'll continue to import things for the construction of the proposed wind farms on the East coast?
  7. The killer sounds like he was that messed up that he'd have found a way to seek 'revenge' with or without guns.
  8. What current legislation did the police fail to implement? It seems from the article above that he was given his gun license back after being investigated for an assault. Sad state of affairs when nutters like that are allowed guns.

Sorry to hear the news mate.
  10. Indeed, if Prince Andrew was black there's no chance they would have exposed him for being a nonce.
  11. Those 'Yellow Jackets' were parked up near Jarrow for a while. I was amazed that they were shipped here for assembling rather than being fabricated here, a double piss take given the heritage of shipbuilding in the NE.
  12. Install a compost toilet, disabled visitors might find it troublesome to squat over a hole in the ground. Mutter something about The Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
  13. I've had bank statements for years and they've always done that. Blockchain technology is something to be aware of. At the moment it's mostly deregulated here in the West - The banks don't like that, after all they are the middle man and if it becomes apparent they're pointless then their phoney baloney jobs will be exposed as the puddles they are. So beware of government endorsed blockchain tech. Unless you trust them.
  14. We've been conditioned to accept u-turns and incompetence in general.
  15. Nano delivery systems and cancer immunotherapy LINK.SPRINGER.COM Cancer immunotherapy takes advantage of immune system to fight against cancer. Current clinical immunotherapies are... Nanorobotics - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG They could have fitted the nano-chip with the BCG vaccine. School photos may have been early RFID scans. Your DNA was saved when your blood group was determined on birth... etc etc. Nah mate, There is no value in surreptitiously giving us some sort of tracking thing. We're doing a fine job of that with our lust for all things digital. Unless it's some sort of Logan's Run thing, which makes no sense as they've already culled the old. The world is rudderless.
  16. Yeah, the one I got is the 'Naked' version. It has a canny sound already so I'm looking forward to how she opens up. They use the same pickups throughout the range of Faith guitars. It's really put a smile on my face.
  17. Aye, I've had my eyes on a Venus for a while, the right one came up at the right time. I've had a few tanglewoods over the years, good guitars.
  18. Buying local produce tends, ridiculously, to be more expensive than the mass produced stuff that many can just about afford and happens to come from supermarkets. I'm sure everyone would like to eat locally sourced food if they a) could afford it, and 3) there was an adequate supply for everyone.
  19. Fair enough.
  20. What would you propose as a (short term) solution to solve the shortage while we train up enough drivers over here?
  21. Wew! I didn't know that. Cheers Doug. Kata is an odd inclusion. I'd like to see Lion Dancing included in the next one. It's way better than synchronised swimming.
  22. Maybe it does, an abstract one perhaps. It's got little to do with the shortage of HGV drivers on the roads though. What would you propose as a (short term) solution to solve the shortage while we train up enough drivers over here?
