  1. its all well & good having these tests in place However any eu licence holder with a relevant licence can drive that combination on these roads ,regardless of the test criteria in their home country for 12 months, without having to meet the standards that uk residents are obliged to reach ie post 97 B + additional to reach B+E this unfairly disandvantages uk residents in my book ! lets get the basics right first, then we can move forward. . Also can you imangine the up roar from the caravan brigade !!!!!! cost of fuel , road tax , car mot , caravan mot , they'll slit the governments throat
  2. Ficus minimum height clearances over a pedestrian footpath 7' or 2.12mt & 17' or 5.15mtr over a highway clarification via the highways agency I believe
  3. matty my friend you miss the point wether you want it or not you 'cant' quote for it, coz they've cut you're legs out mate !!!!! wanting the work 'you want ' is all well & good but sooner or later you'll see the point that many make here

  7. rights to boundarys must also balanced with the extent of the 'damage to property belonging to another' as this brings into play 'willful damage' that could be seen as 'criminal' , if the works do indeed lead to the demise of the tree then a criminal prosecution could be sought
  8. nptc issue the Certification via assessment NOT training, that way it remains independant
  9. yep AAAC is one option as an interim, though Iso 9001 is mandatory later
  10. basically, to work for the highways agency, in a landscape capacity inc Arbor, litter picking weed control, grass cutting, etc, etc, etc, you need to be accredited with this scheme,

  13. Chaps this isnt worth a fallout, personal professional assessment of the individual specimen given location / condition, viability lead to the chioce in the method of TD its the circumstances that count !!! I use trad methods where ever possible as I much prefer to trust my knots over of a piece of metal ,whos history I dont know ! That ALL SAID if a mewp is the only viable tool in the box, then I have no hesitation in using it , I just dont like em, maybe thats a mis-trust issue, or just deans avatar LOL i dont know' what i do know is that Cranes on the other hand are 'most excellent' fun. & our edelrid lines have never failed me or any of my staff
  14. personnally I dont like either , i'd much rather be on 13mm line , had little option but the mewp as there was no viable life line or dismantle points the telescopic allows much more manouverability than the scissor & the flex in the hydraulics is good for a laugh when it bounces, he he ! working heights were 16m up & 6m out (I think)
  15. two populus destroyed by the mindless ' little darlings' = Yobs no strength left totally knackered mewp TD
  16. ed I believe its the brash they need to make the hurdles & jumps Pete i wish id known earlier but i will keep it in mind
