  1. from boldrewood deer sanctuary through to brockenhurst in the new forest along the ornamental drive past the giant wellingtonia
  2. the scar down the side was seen but the actuall hole was under long grass.i was shown the job by a photo on the guys phone.it was a very small part of a large contract for the contractor and i think it was a case of.. 'can you do something about that oak'... 'yeah il send someone up...anyway what else do you want doing£££££'
  3. it wasnt my job,i was just asked to subby on it by a landscaping firm, but on arivall and the proximity of the existing and new targets i thought i should suggest felling due to the size of the cavity which was unseen when the tree was looked at

  5. quite a fun one this,the extent of the cavity inside was huge.the site is being redeveloped for use as a offices and yard for a surfacing company.i suggested felling but this wasnt an option for the moment
  6. four years ago i was in a chinese takeaway and we(me and my misses)saw a group of young lads atacking someone,i ran accross ther road and started pulling them off the guy who was on the ground....i managed to sort the situation but in retrospect was i foolish

  16. works good,90% of my work is subbying and im now fully booked till i go on holiday for 2 weeks in september
  17. i always climb with a silky, just strap on the sawpod and off i go,the only time i wouldnt, would be if i was taking over from another climber blocking/chogging down a stem
  18. theres always the new forest, though i doubt the fc will be to hot on the idea

  21. depends on the size of the stem and the proximity of the neighbours though.also dependsd on the area your working in,some people as im sure you know can be terribly weird about even the smallest bit of sawdust
  22. take it down in as bigger pieces as is possible.the less airbourne sawdust the better
  23. you dont tell the misses exactly how much you bought at the show, because one bit of kit could pay for a weekend away
  24. you bore people to death when drunk, going on about how great trees are
  25. i wear the rubber dipped gloves,sometimes they catch in the friction hitch and often are knackered after one climb but at 50p a pair whos complaining
