  1. after having severall beers yesterday afternoon in southampton i fell asleep on the train and woke up at weymouth,at the end of the line,there were no trains till 6am this morning so i had to fork out 60quid to get a taxi back.
  2. i wish i had, but me being young and green at the time didnt help. the money was deducted from my final pay packet and from wages owed from a weeks work i did for them after i had been made redundant. green green green!!!

  4. one firm i worked for made me sign a contract saying the same thing, the harsh thing was they ran out of work so made me and the other guys redundant and i still had to pay the cash
  5. brilliant skate video, from the days 50/50 stalls and impossibles were king.nice one high scale havnt seen that vid for a long time
  6. two penguins sat in the bath.. one says "can you pass the soap" the other says "ohh my god a talking penguin"
  7. due to the targets id be inclined to take it down.i wouldnt waste the money on a test and a reduction will only slightly prolong the need for it to be taken down

  10. i did a job just up the road from there at rhinefield house. dead wooding some of those douglas firs.epic job,felt quite privaliged to be doing so. the wellys are totally climbable without a big shot.been planning to climb them for a while,just waiting for the perfect clear day

  13. they were not thinking to hard at all,or trying to show a new technique. if anything they were thinking very practically.what was being demonstrated was how hard it is to rescue someone from srt not a fancy new way of doing it
  14. for what movement is achived from the 6 shackles i think its a waste of time. the price of the harness should reflect whats gone into it....
  15. makes total sense.at what point does worn become dangerous.ie how worn i also tend to change and alternate hitch cord quite frequently
  16. i tie my own hitch cord,so the worry of splices is not an issue for me,the thing that concerned me was the possibility of burning the cord out.(pete made it sound like it was easily done).i personally havnt found any problem with overheating. think it may just have been alot of ifs and buts
  17. i mainly use the herkules hitch cord and some dyneema stuff from the local boat shop,but have climbed on the tenex for a while and found it pretty good. what are your concerns?
  18. it was recomended to me by proclimber. i think with all these things you do have to be carefull.long high speed desents on many hitch cords will burn hand and rope

  20. it looked like they had an improved type of ripstop to replace the old kevlar on the front
  21. after a brief conversation with pete mcsheffery at the aa show about the above hitch cord,and his dislike due to it not having a core and because of this the chance of it failing on quick desents i have been wondering... has anybody had any experience of this. i have been climbing using this cord for a while and the idea never crossed my mind cheers john
  22. very good points.i wasnt having a dig, just wondering if there was maybe a better solution
  23. 6 shackles are to many 6 more things to come undone why the need for so many ?, seems to me like theyve taken a short cut to get the product out
  24. farmer up the road had 2 horses stolen friday night,they were found a severall fields away the next day, obviously left till they could move them the next night
