    been working on this bugger for the last 2 days.off to fell the stem in the morning.its out the back of a jewsons builders merchant, found a pigeons nest made out off wall ties

    25.been working in the arb industry for severall years now,and decided i would be able to keep contracting as a climber and be able to develop my professional qaulifications at the same time

    im after a single cab really. had 5 days in auckland then got the tranz scenic down to wellington.picked up a couple of vans and headed down the coast for a bit then through wanaka etcto queenstown,then back up to cristchurch via the gates of haast,fox, arthurs pass.didnt see any tree work though which was dissapointing

    so after my 7 week jaunt around new zealand and bali, i have returned. i have some interseting tree pictures that i will post after ive worked my way through the several thousand posts that have accumulated durring my time away(showing how well this forum has taken off). anyway new working year and time for a nearly new pickup. any ideas? cheers john

    yeah i highly recomend the stretch airs.had a pair when they were red and they just fell apart.after that i moved over to the hiflexs but after my last pair only lasted five months and a conversation with nod im back on the stretchairs, great trouser very comfortable and durable. thumbs up from me

    everybody has the basic guidelines of what needs to be earnt, or what they want to earn in the day.theres so many factors to consider.its all about getting a feel for it

    i climb on marlow chameleon with the herkules (from proclimber)10 mm hitchcord with 4 wraps and 2 braids.it self tends after about 30 ft

    yeah i was bricking it,first to admit it.the reason the tree was coming down was that it was sheding limbs.parts of it were unclimbable and unfortunately all of these sections needed to be rigged down to avoid demolishing the shed ,fence, pristine hedge and garage underneath it

    i hate to think the extra weight added by ivy sometimes,last ivy removeal job was nearly a full truck load of chippings.not good

    max has hit the nail right on the head,from the ground the structural problems of this tree of this tree could not be seen,ok there was a bit if dead wood, but no more than would be expected from a tree that had been previously cut so badly.
