  2. I like the way they placed so much value on a tree years ago, fodder, tools, fuel, shelter..

  4. I know loads of beeches that have been standing for years with merripilus its not news to me, the trouble with us humans we always need to find explanation to things always analyzing, sometimes we should just accept, well that's my opinion Ancient man was far better at accepting............

  9. In that case he was wrong, unless of course the tree becomes a hazard. I used to preach on and on about , proper pruning techniques etc, but imo [environmentally speaking] a topped tree has more going for us [the planet] than a pruned tree with all those sterile unnatural cuts...........
  10. 95% of pollarded trees aren't pollards at all, and 95% of tree surgeons [so called] wouldn't know how to pollard a tree if there life depended on it..........

  24. You'd think they'd come up with better guarding for the tractor, some kind of blade, a new hood for a decent tractor costs an absolute fortune. Great Idea though those bailers, are power stations geared to take the bails yet?
