  2. Must be working for carp company's or cowboys if they NEED you to bring a chipper along, not being funny just saying it as I see it, all I ever wanted from a subby was a climber and his climbing gear and an ms200t and silky

  8. All you need mate, if you're going freelance is a vehicle, climbing/rigging gear, a few saws and that's it....... Contractors should be insured and have all the bigger plant as well as staff/groundie's........... I used to run my own tree firm, and used freelancer quite a bit

  14. Don't worry us Gypo's no all the about horticultural/Agricultural rights, you get 3 years to get up and running, then your off or you get planning/licensing, and in 90% of cases you're off, I've got 8 stables and a couple of instore beef rearing units if you're interested............

Haha I think you boys are are talking crack, regarding land, planning, and caravan licensing, I have first hand experience in being evicted from your own land, my father was evicted from a yard, and it cost us thousands of £'s I have friends fighting an eviction now, it just drags on and on, costing them in health and money!

  19. You don't have to be rich to have an allotment and grow a few veg or keep a few chooks, or go foraging in the woods or fish the coast
  20. Minor damage yes, compaction we can help with that problem also, as for remediation works, I prefer prevention rather than try to cure

  23. The difference being he Arthur circa Stone age-40 years ago, relied/depended on his trees, these days we have that hive of wickedness the multinational institution to fall back onto ie B&Q Tescos [if we want]
  24. I still think ancient forester ''accepted'' more, rather than actually new/understood more. IMO we know more these days regarding biology than we ever have........... The sooner we get back to nature and ignorance the better imo, naivety is is a great thing!!
