It would be the 3.9 I would want, well just because i would! Lol! Mine is an origional V8 station wagon, so has the 5 speed 380 gearbox on it, so it will slot straight in. Might be worth bearing in mind at some point, cheers.

Ok, my experience last year was selling nets for £3.50 each. After all costs, including labour I rekoned there was about 50pence profit per net. This year I put nets up to £4.50 each. I lost nearly half my net customers, but I had almost £1.50 profit. So doing half the work earned me more money. Next year nets will go up again to keep in line with increase in overheads in the next months, so i still keep at least that £1.50 per net profit.

You think he would split it? Sounds like its been a conversion so the gear stick will be nearer the back seats than the front ones! Lol!

It is for me. When they ring up after the price rise with an order, you tell them the new price and "unfortunately its due to increase in overheads" If they dont like it the go elsewhere. I dont lose sleep over it.

If you want to give it a little more umph, you could set the barrell down on instant gasket instead of a paper one. You may need to alter the timing slightly but it will give it a tad more compression, i.e more power.

Nice one. For some reason I was thinking it may have been one worth upgrading such as 440 but your already on the bigger saw. Sometimes exhaust studs can shear on them so take the can off before you order your bits. I would say the can gasket should be ok but worth checking at same time.

If your costs go up, pass them on. Every other industry does and justifies it. If you choose to swallow the higher costs yourself, you will only go one way IMO.

If you think the H Ds are big then a Rocket 3 will be well out of it for you then! Chrome on the Triumphs is much more superior too IMO. Still love my Sprint 900, but if I were to get a little newer the Sprint GT looks a nice thing. Still wouldnt part with the old one though:001_rolleyes:

Adam, I know you have shown the list of qualifications you've gained and are wanting work, but you've not fully explained, are you wanting a climbers position(having no climbing kit) and what sort of employment do you want. I.E, self employed, on the books, and more importantly how much do you expect?

If the increase does turn the corner for the country, we cannot argue against it, after all like Dean says, 2.5% is hardly going to stop many people buying what they would have at 17.5%. As Im not registered, the biggest impact to my business is going to be fuel costs. Probably my greatest outlay following labour(that doesnt have vat), but even at a guess using £10k of fuel a year is only going to be an increase of £250. If thats my donation to the government to return back to happy days, Im glad to pay it. Somehow, I doubt the VAT increase alone will cure the problem.

Yeh, that too. The selfishness I was referring to is with regard to all the VAT companies having extra work imposed on them without so much as a thought. Regardless of the "who did what" part that led to the state of the country, it does need sorting, but wouldnt it be something if even in such as Justins case the extra admin and bookwork could be paid for in some way.

Dont think the government are bothered at all Justin. Its a selfish increase on their part to try and build up the coffers, although "we all must pay" Just glad Im not vat reg to be honest, bad enough paying our taxes without being an unpaid collector like you guys too.

Yeh, get the idea now. When i was into woodland work it was always close as ground as possible and replant with guards. Still looks a bit odd to me! Lol!

The 7810 is a great tractor. Nice to see one still working hard. Just one point though, why the massively high stumps?
