  1. Yes. Similarly, plumbers and electricians who remove copper pipe and cable from jobs need WCL. Highly unlikely they will get picked up on though, seems tree arisings are an easier target.
  2. Mmmm, that is a valid point Bob for sure. One thing I'd point out though is, there cant be many folk on here that have used both the 540xpt and the 201t to give a realistic comparison. As it happens I have, and as a result I WILL wait until the husky is released properly
  3. I have said it earlier in the thread, but for those who can't be bothered to read the thread I spent 20 minutes writing out; The inserts are ok, but not as good as airbags. I have had both!
  4. The're ok Jon. Certainly do the job well, only thing is I got the on board pump with mine and with all the extra pipework its ended up with problematic leaks. Obviously you have the ability to pump them up easily, but can be a pain. The basic version is simply the air bags with pipes out to a valve you blow up with a tyre infator. When mine just had this basic set up, it never leaked but I fancied the adjustable version.
  5. Ok, for my input. Go for as heavy outer springs as you can find for the rear. Then fit air bags, these give the most lift and can be adjusted. Have you got anti roll bars? If not, get some. Front AND rear. Discovery 1 have them fitted standard, will go straight on and are easy to get hold of. This wont help the ride hight, but the handling difference is immense, especially with a front bar fitted. Dont bother uprating the front unless you're doing a lift, as the front axle doesnt take hardly any of the load due to the position(over the rear axle) of the body. Just my ten for you really, take it how you like, but its what I found out the hard way! Mine is a dream now with the above set-up. P.S, if you decide to go with helper "insert" springs I have a set I can sell you, as I was going to stick them on the bay.
  6. Find out if its live drive. I'd say it would need to be proven a very good runner for £500 with the list of ailments it has. You could soon crack upto £2k on that thing before you know it without touching the engine or hydraulics. Dont be tempted too much by the loader, you can pick them up in classic tractor for £30. The most valuable part of the old girl would be in its bonnet and front nose cone. If they are in good solid order, you may want to pay £300 for them alone.
  7. Pot and psiton will fit straight onto the 365 special as the rest of the saw is same as a 372. NOT the earlier 365 though.
  8. As a guide, we have a site local to us that's now offering £5 per cube for fresh chip.
  9. I know you wont want to hear this, but perhaps you also need to brush up on your business approach. The guy has obviously dropped you in it, but experience will teach you not to get into this situation. Hard to hear I dare say, and we've all been there, but working with other set-ups is riddled with trouble. Feel for you, its sure hassle you can do without especially after you feel you were trying to help someone out.
  10. Depends how determined you are. A contract is a contract, verbal is as good as written. You obviously have phone records etc to verify such verbal converstions. At this point, are you absolutely sure its off?
  11. You will carry more legally with the landy. Assuming you go for a 110 3500kgs(a 130 has less payload) and use ally tipper body, compared to same on the tranny the cubic capacity doesnt matter a jot. Unless you are not running on the road, or running illeaglly that is:sneaky2:

  13. As Stevie says, you probably won't need to pay any tax, given your tax free allowance, plus your expenses, you won't show much profit as you will no doubt have set up expenses. A rough guide that I'd go by is, put an extra 25% away on what you pull out for personal drawings and any profit. This will cover your tax bill and go a good way towards paying your accountant.
  14. The Edwards is a great trailer Jon, I'd say biggest issue would be finding a dealer your way on.
  15. Yeh, very true Jon, but I'd rather pay the little extra and get the quality. The Brian James is a little over priced IMO, compared to the superior build of the Edwards.

  17. Mmmm, there does seem to be the odd one thats not as good as the others. I guess its the same as many, many other models of saws. I know one thing for sure though, I bet you still smile when you use it!
  18. I deffinately dont! I can honestly say its the best saw Ive ever bought new. And there's been a few!

  20. I think PMH needs to chase this up as I was told when I got mine it had a 2 year PRO warranty. Mine's just over a year old now and only just had the FOC upgrades done on it. Think I'd be kicking up more of a fuss at the dealers mate:thumbup1:
