  1. Sounds like you lot are over filling your bags, I can get near three bags out of a barrow load.
  2. :w00t: I thought i went over the top when i bought my borer for 400 posts:confused1:
  3. Come on then John, you obviously are not afraid of speaking your mind and even offending so why will you not either offer some kind of appology/explaination on the treemotion thread? I see you have submitted 10 posts since your holiday but not one on the harness thread, so i would say its time you stepped up. I am sure even you must realise splatting out comments like you have done against others, will reflect badly upon your character, and even perhaps your business. I believe a comment from you on this is not too much to ask?
  4. How many posts are we looking at?
  5. Sure, main one is, dont underestimate the time you will put into it:sneaky2:
  6. I can feel another bid coming on Jonny:001_rolleyes:
  7. Cheers for all the comments:thumbup1: Spot on, got the sheets from a roofing supplier who sheared it all to my sizes. Top bloke who saved a lot of hassle. Rivetted on. Cheers Rupe, any advice is appreciated! Never done a chip box before but i have been watching how you guys have done yours! Lol! Nearest thing i have done to this is make pig gates:sneaky2: The sheets are going inside, as you say its more for practical reasons than cosmetic. I have been using cheapo screwfix silicone at £1.50 a tube!
  8. Mmmmm, starting to get tempting:001_tt2:
  9. Sorry, but i will reply to the serious parts of this thread, It could take a wee while as i cant get the serious bits going now i have read about the pinky and perky bits:lol::lol: The wife is wondering why i am howling with laughter I must go and find something to wipe my eyes:001_rolleyes:
  10. She aint all that she seems, you've not seen her when she goes all soppy!

  11. Here goes; Nice one Ian, worth bearing in mind:thumbup1: Recon you could buy this one Ed, I think Jonny already started the bidding:001_tt2: The toolbox is on the tipper David but i think if its got say three saws, two sets of kit, fuel, hand tools and cleaning gear it will still weigh less than 1.5cube of chips(the space its taken up) The bar at the back supporting the rear pillars is removable and adjustable in height, so i was hoping it would be a bonus not a pain! I made the sides square as it was easier fabricate in the "quick" chipbox, also will have a full height rear door(more space for the sign writing) The builder i got it from told me it was 2200kg empty. Building out of steel is not the best i know, but i am hoping this is not an expensive conversion, and getting rid of all that wet ply must have helped a bit:001_huh: Wait till it gets 1800kgs of chipper behind it, then we'll see how "quick" it is!
  12. Are you offering me 30 quid for it Jonny:001_rolleyes:
  13. I will keep adding pics as it comes along:001_tt2:
  14. The spec so far is steel box section with galv 1.2mm tin, 1.25m high, incorporating toolbox(still on tipping bed), square sides(no sloping corners) hinged and removable, and open top to be covered with a net when chipping. Heres a few pics so far and i did get a good bit of the tin put on today, but if anyone has got any useful tips for the final touches, such as brackets to hang stuff, are you painting it pink, put this here etc, etc, fire away!
  15. Ok, so finally got the start on the chip box on the ldv i bought a few weeks back. This was it when purchased, complete with plywood drop sides:scared1: Now they were HEAVY:001_huh:
  16. Ah well, my mistake on both counts:blushing:
  17. Mmmm, but i thought all 1972, 88" were series 111:confused1: My mate has a series 111 and its a 1972. Hence this one Craddocks have that says its a 1971; 71 LAND ROVER SERIES 3 88'' TAX EXEMPT EXCELLENT on eBay (end time 16-Dec-09 09:42:03 GMT) 109" like yours could be different though, and if im wrong i will stand corrected:sneaky2:
  18. I have a BT360 i might sell if the price is right......
  19. Just looking back at the pics, are you sure its a 2a, it looks like a series 3 to me:confused1:
  20. Nice landy Mick, dont knock it, if you end up with it, look on the bright side, its tax exempt:thumbup1:
  21. It seems that quite a few of Johns posts and topics tend to be less than tactful and sometimes devious, but as the guy is away on holiday lets see what he has to say on his return. Perhaps upon your return John, you could include in your explanation/appology the reasons for antagonising just prior to your vacation?
  22. I wouldnt want to continue a "which chipper is best" theme here, i am more interested in why John would make such comments and threads, instead of being up front and offering his advice and none of this cloak and dagger stuff Perhaps i am wrong, and if so, i will stand corrected. I will be interested in reading a reply too.
  23. Oh, and for the record, i have a greenmech
