  1. Oh and touch screen is a nightmare with this job i have a mini keyboard which works well, i think mine is the 8800. I've had many e-mail pda based phones with various different keyboards and this is the best i've had so far.
  2. I've had one for 6 months Steve. Get on with it fine. Only downside is no camera. The e-mail is very easy to set up with multiple e-mail accounts possible. You can send and recieve and view any attatchment and you don't get charged extra if you have the right tariff.
  3. If they sounded good on the phone you'd get them in for a trial on a not so critical job before using them on a tight one. If they are full of the big I am on the phone i won't deal with them. I prefer somebody who quietly gets on with it rather than shouting about it. You can give of a confident persona and not be shouty in my opinion.
  4. Exactly and a thorough job is a quick job. Losing time due to stuck timber is very frustrating.
  5. I agree with the posts that follow this. As a business owner there is nothing worst then getting somebody call up and oversell themselves. I had a guy a month or so ago call me, i called him back and he went to great lengths to tell me how quickly he can rig out masive wellingtonias !!
  6. Yep 2-3 a day here as well always via yell or thompson. I used to give them the run around but can't be bothered anymore. I only answer the phone to area codes from my work area and mobiles.
  7. Nothing it's just I'm a Fungi groan Mog's head gasket has gone as a starting point
  8. Consider nah, it was totally climable.
  9. Thanks, i felt like death that day stinking cold, it was a real dying POS covered in thick ivy. Got it down in 2 hours though in hand held bits.

Timber is a red Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 7 months old at present
  18. A local guy is taking the head off to see if it's cracked, if it is we are buggered because i can't afford a new engine at the moment ! I'd look for a good second hand one if it comes to it or a Merc unit but they are big bucks !
  19. If you buy a Mog from Atkinson Vos budget for a new engine after 7 months (1st one was ok this Mog has lots of niggling faults and now the head gasket has gone)
  20. Everybody has different experiences of the same suppliers. I'm sure we have all had instances when we have had to let customers down or move dates due to kit breaking staff ill etc.

    My new Hobbs H2

Frans I think Marc is comparing GRCS or Hobbs versus a portawrap. Nobody I know over here takes wraps around the trunk anymore. LOts of natural crotch rigging instead of pulleys though.
