Nice work, how did you get the conifer off the roof?
  2. Or switch to jeans in the tree, £5 a pop from Tesco, and buy a new pair every week.
  3. What would you do in that situation in real life? There would probably be bonus points for applying a dressing, but if it takes too long to do and you time out then don't bother.
  4. Its my company, give me a ring tomorrow if you want some more info, my number is 07875 386674. There is a thread on here in the News forum too, and some more pics on Facebook. Pro Tipper | Facebook
  5. Yes mate, have a look at http://www.protipper.co.uk
  6. Can you still see what order people joined in Steve? There used to be a way you could see, like a serial number for each member.
  7. First thread was husky v stihl I think.
  8. I remember you cutting that, it literally twisted and warped as the saw was going through the cut. Glad it's been used though.
  9. Both. Commentary for the judges benefit, they wont know what you are doing unless you tell them. IE you are continuing to assess potential hazards (ie deadwood in crown, security of anchor points etc) as you ascend. Secondly, treat the casualty and any helpers you may have as if it is a real emergency situation, tell your helper to contact emergency services, what to do when the ambulance arrives. Constantly reassure the casualty. Well worth watching a couple of rescues from a more experienced competitor first so you know what you need to do, but dont get too hung up on how they do it, innovation is rewarded provided it is well executed. And yes it is pretty geeky.
  10. Paris, New York, Stalybridge........
  11. Winch the split section upright, strap it all together and fell the whole thing into the woods.
  12. Anything that kills mammals isn't going to be good for your health.
  13. linky no worky
  14. Wish you the best of luck Dean, and I believe that if you own a piece of land you should have the right to build a house on it and live in it. Sadly the planning system is in place to prevent the countryside becoming littered with common peoples houses, and keep everyone penned up in suburbia.
  15. Not impossible if you went about it the right way. You need something that requires you to live on site, if you earned a living from charcoal burning from your own coppice for instance. I suggest getting a planning consultant involved sooner rather than later.
  16. It's where you buy cases of tinnes.
  17. With a down sloping feed table.
  18. It's the way regs are headed though, expect to see more and more chippers designed that way.
  19. Might be his middle name?
  20. Go to settings, and change spell check language from Klingon to English (UK).
  21. That should be "opposed". Sorry couldn't resist a good pedant thread!
  22. Make one of the dudes swim.
  23. Another happy customer!
  24. Higher Blackley area used to be ok, across Blackley New Road into Crumpsall and Harpurhey there are some pretty scummy areas. About 5 years since I worked in that area though. Most of Manchester is posh areas cheek by jowl with scummy sink estates.
