  1. What's wrong with pouring petrol in a tire, giving it a kick and dropping a match in the middle?
  2. Branch walking was easier, turn harness around and get going:001_tongue:

  5. Happy birthday Dave. Hope you feel better than you look
  6. Some load, yes, but minimal. But if you work through the system you will see where the load is applied - through the climbing line and hitch. When i tried the system out, the prussic was made from some 3mm cord!!!! and functioned perfectly Point taken about the inconveniance though
  7. Why? It is not load-bearing, it merely provides the adjustment for the system
  8. Either climb the tree or decline. Knowing your limits is not failiure. BSing is another story
  9. Nice to meet you Reg. Your passion and drive towards perfecting your products is truley admirable. I look forward to watching it develop and prove itself an indespensable tool.

  13. I thought that was one of my more polite answers:001_tongue:
  14. From AFAG - Identify the appropriate equipment, number of workers and skills required. A minimum of two people must be present during all tree-climbing operations. One of the ground team must be available, competent and equipped to perform an aerial rescue without delay If your employing a ticketed groundie, who is not competent then you are not compliant. Period. Plus if you run a ltd company, you are an employee, hence you have a duty of care to yourself. You could be prosecuted as company owner.
  15. I quoted to fell it 3 years ago. The rips arnt big enough for me. I'm improving them under my tuition at the council though:001_tongue:

  24. I think it's a great pic and utilisation of the tree. Usually the idiots erect the cameras oon poles adjacent to the tree, then fell it as it obscures the field of vision.
