Satisfying the increasing demand from domestic customers for retaining wood chip, a CS100 from GreenMech has been non-stop since its delivery, according to Max Bishop, Owner of MJB Group. Installed by local dealers GA Groundcare in December 2022, the CS100 sits alongside a GreenMech Arborist 150P which now gives the landscape, arb and grounds team the versatility to tackle projects of all shapes and sizes. Into their sixth year of trading, MJB Group undertake all areas of garden maintenance and tree surgery, and in addition to a large residential client base, have recently begun working on a number of commercial jobs in and around their trading area of Wiltshire and Somerset. “We’ve had a GreenMech Arborist 150P on our fleet for the last five years and it’s a fantastic piece of kit” Max says. “This is in use every day. Increasingly, on the domestic jobs, customers were asking to keep chippings to use in their flowers beds so we spoke to Ashley at GA Groundcare about a smaller, more portable unit that we could manoeuvre into back gardens, chip on the spot, and then spread the chippings where they’d like them.” At just 760mm wide, the GreenMech CS100 is ideal for jobs in confined spaces, fitting through standard gates and doorways making it the perfect partner for work in domestic environments. STIHL has launched a new innovative full chisel saw chain offering up to 20% higher cutting performance. Compatible with any STIHL professional chainsaw with a power output of 1.6 kW – 2.0 kW, the new PS3 Pro chain is available in 3/8 P pitch and 1.1mm drive link gauge and features a narrow kerf designed to reduce resistance while cutting. This new geometry results in a chain that not only cuts faster than the previous 1.3mm gauge chain but is less sensitive to pressure too. For cordless chainsaw models, the increase in cutting efficiency also allows more cuts to be made per charge, improving productivity. The new 1.1mm Light 04 guide bar has been specifically designed for use with the PS3 Pro chain, offering increased durability and optimum balance. In addition, the drive links on the PS3 Pro sit deeper inside the Light 04 guide bar compared to ¼ P 1.1mm chain, further decreasing the likelihood of the chain de-railing. Available in 12” and 14” lengths, the PS3 Pro chain and Light 04 guide bar comes as standard with the new MSA 220 C-B, or separately as an easy upgrade for models such as the MSA 220 T and MS 201 TC-M. STIHL has launched ADVANCE ProCOM X-VENT which sees the popular ADVANCE ProCOM headset fitted as standard to its X-VENT safety helmet. This new product offers forestry and landscaping professionals clear, high-quality communications and top-of-the-range ear and head protection all-in-one. ADVANCE ProCOM is also available as an ear defender set, or as an accessory for the ADVANCE X-CLIMB and other 3M compatible helmets for a wide range of choice. Fixed to the X-VENT for optimum comfort and safety, the ADVANCE ProCOM headset offers seamless on-site communication with up to 16 other ADVANCE ProCOM users. It also boasts a range of up to 600m between two users, dependent on terrain; with each headset acting as a repeater to extend the range should more than two headsets be in use at once.
