  1. Never ever had a crotch go on a pair of chainsaw trousers. Also never had much luck with the ladies, not sure if theres any connection there. in all seriousness, stretch air are the best I’ve found, but theres also a big difference in the difference cuts which will have an impact depending on your body shape. For example o wear a small in stretch airs which are perfect, whereas a medium in arbortecs I don’t a bit restrictive round the hips
  2. This is unfortunately true
  3. Whats wrong is that people are on their arses and desperate due to the rising cost of living
  4. I spent most of last week in hospital with Maddy and came away slightly perplexed. She went in Monday morning with a fever of 40.7. Have to say a&e was great..we were in to see a doctor within 5 minutes and moved on to the ward within 30. Staff were great with Maddy. It was her birthday and they raided the cupboards and bought her loads of gifts (They have a cupboard full of stuff donated by local businesses). Anyway she had a UTI. I stayed in overnight with her and they let us out the following day with a canular attached and told us to go back everyday at 12 noon for the next 3 days so they could administor antiobitics by IV. Now this was a pretty straight forward 15 minute procedure, but on all 3 days I ended up in the hospital for 4-5 hours. Hard to really understand what was going on, as everytime I looked at the main desk there were always at least 4-5 people there seemingly not doing much. The ward wasn't brimming with patients either. There was never more than 3-4 kids in the waiting room whilst we were there. I tried not to read too much into things as I basically have no idea whats going on behind the scenes, but something just doesnt run smoothly there thats for sure. Perhaps they are tied up with too much paperwork, who knows. We had to have fresh bloods taken on the thursday and waited 3 hours for this. When they called us through we went into a sideroom, where there were 6 members of staff there. 2 were doctors, might have been one student, and then an extra body who serves as a distraction for the kids. Keeping in mind I was there and perfectly capable of distracting my child, it seemed a massive waste of resources having 6 staff in there for what surely could have been done by one nurse, maybe 2 at a push. Sometimes its hard to understand where all the money goes, other times it really isnt
  5. There’s a lot of money being spunked on Facebook ads by tree companies. Most likely boosting their own posts with no real idea what they are doing and subsequently targeting the entire uk for leylandii hedge cutting. that being said it is quite hard. I’ve had some very specific targeting set on some of my adverts before and still get some incredibly random activity.
  6. Any of those saws will be perfectly adequate for scavenging fallen deadwood etc. Obviously you're asking on a pro forum though so the standard answer is going to be buy the best you can afford. If you are after wood and have room to accept a truck load at a time you can also chance your arm by adding your property as a tip site for tree surgeons to use. https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling/
  7. Begs the question why are you still advertising with them?
  8. Exactly this. Mark obviously wouldn’t know this as he drives his customers to the cash point machine

  10. Satisfying the increasing demand from domestic customers for retaining wood chip, a CS100 from GreenMech has been non-stop since its delivery, according to Max Bishop, Owner of MJB Group. Installed by local dealers GA Groundcare in December 2022, the CS100 sits alongside a GreenMech Arborist 150P which now gives the landscape, arb and grounds team the versatility to tackle projects of all shapes and sizes. Into their sixth year of trading, MJB Group undertake all areas of garden maintenance and tree surgery, and in addition to a large residential client base, have recently begun working on a number of commercial jobs in and around their trading area of Wiltshire and Somerset. “We’ve had a GreenMech Arborist 150P on our fleet for the last five years and it’s a fantastic piece of kit” Max says. “This is in use every day. Increasingly, on the domestic jobs, customers were asking to keep chippings to use in their flowers beds so we spoke to Ashley at GA Groundcare about a smaller, more portable unit that we could manoeuvre into back gardens, chip on the spot, and then spread the chippings where they’d like them.” At just 760mm wide, the GreenMech CS100 is ideal for jobs in confined spaces, fitting through standard gates and doorways making it the perfect partner for work in domestic environments. The 18hp electric-start petrol engine and twin, reversible chipping blades make light work of timber, wood waste and vegetation while the adjustable discharge chute makes chip disposable convenient and simple. “Within half an hour of the CS100 demonstration we’d decided to buy it! The build quality of it is extraordinary and, after having a look at other machines, this only confirmed that we weren’t going to get anything more robust or better suited to our needs.” He continues, “It’s been working on all-manner of jobs, from garden clearances through to large ash tree removals where we hooked it up on the back of the quadbike and towed it into position.” “It will take material up to 4” extremely easily and produces lovely chips. Having this second machine has also saved us a considerable amount of money that we were spending on disposing chippable material when the Arborist 150P was busy.” Delighted with the performance of his CS100, Max has also been impressed with the back up support and service from GreenMech and his regional dealer GA Groundcare. “They’re a fantastic brand to work with, really easy to talk to and no question is too much to ask. With our pair of machines working so well, as we continue to grow it’s great to have a brand supporting us that can continue to support our requirements moving forwards.”
  11. Ask yourself how often you use Yell. Personally the only time I would maybe use it would be if I carried out a google search for a specific company and their listing showed at the top. If I carried out a generic search and Yell was in the top position I simply skip past it. Of course I can only speak for my own browsing habits. Personally i'd pass on it and focus on a wider link building strategy to your website as well as focusing on organic traffic through improving your websites content.
  12. You’re hired
  13. You’ll probably find as many drunk addict lawyers as you will tree surgeons. Wrong ‘uns on the other hand… 😀
  14. As long as it lasts longer than a month 😂 looks great
  15. STIHL has launched a new innovative full chisel saw chain offering up to 20% higher cutting performance. Compatible with any STIHL professional chainsaw with a power output of 1.6 kW – 2.0 kW, the new PS3 Pro chain is available in 3/8 P pitch and 1.1mm drive link gauge and features a narrow kerf designed to reduce resistance while cutting. This new geometry results in a chain that not only cuts faster than the previous 1.3mm gauge chain but is less sensitive to pressure too. For cordless chainsaw models, the increase in cutting efficiency also allows more cuts to be made per charge, improving productivity. The new 1.1mm Light 04 guide bar has been specifically designed for use with the PS3 Pro chain, offering increased durability and optimum balance. In addition, the drive links on the PS3 Pro sit deeper inside the Light 04 guide bar compared to ¼ P 1.1mm chain, further decreasing the likelihood of the chain de-railing. Available in 12” and 14” lengths, the PS3 Pro chain and Light 04 guide bar comes as standard with the new MSA 220 C-B, or separately as an easy upgrade for models such as the MSA 220 T and MS 201 TC-M. Furthermore, the PS3 Pro is compatible with all standard 3/8 P sharpening accessories. For more information on STIHL's new PS3 Pro saw chain, please visit www.stihl.co.uk
