  1. Looks like it could be a good option for Ivy
  2. good work ian, i'm sure someone will snap that up
  3. Thanks Rich, yes thats what ive been using for my anchor point
  4. Your images Sean? Very original
  5. Do you find yourself anchoring on the same size limbs that you would on Ddrt or do you anchor lower and redirect to a higher point if needs be?
  6. Cheers, yes I can see that working ok. Unfortunately no black Pantin. I actually went out and bought a CT foot ascender today and was disappointed it wasn't available in black, might have to get the spray paint out! Also bought a length of that Stein Copious to play with...sling long enough for making a chest harness, and a couple other bits and pieces. Also attached the kiwi ascender and spacer to my Geckos today. I'm now fully set up for SRT, and someone might get the lot at a steal on arbtrader in a couple weeks time
  7. Depends how often you like to eat at mcdonalds drive thru I guess
  8. I have had 2 navaras over the past 7 years and they have been faultless. In addition to that my nissa dealer is spot on and a pleasure to deal with. Oh, and I fancy the girl on the service desk
  9. Was speaking to someone couple days ago with a dmax, he previously drove navaras for 6 years. He described the dmax as ok, cheap and cheerful, not as comfortable drive as the navara
  10. Well no because they are brand new, not even sure if there's any on the road yet. I just ordered one a couple weeks ago but it's not being delivered till end of April
  11. The new Nissan np300 is looking sweet
  12. I can see what its doing though. Don't you think the side loading on those small limbs is more of an issue than just anchoring on one though?
  13. go on, run a little. ditch that prussic
  14. Back in the days when I was employed we would be given the option if the weather was really bad. We could go home and take it as holiday pay or something would be found for us to do even if it was washing the trucks or something mundane. As a subbie, not much is different..I often get a phone call in the morning giving me the option if its particularly bad. Sometimes the wet means we can't get on the land so the choice is taken out of my hands. I'm quite happy to take these days off, theres always something to do anyway.
  15. I started using Srt Friday so I might even be allowed to join your Srt gang by then if I'm lucky?
  16. You pay more than £12 a month as a sole trader. Thats just the monthly charge. You pay another whack along with your income tax. I forget how it works as my accountant takes care of all that, but I think the monthly charge is class 1 deductions then you pay the class 2 deductions seperately, or something like that. I don't know, thats why i have an accountant Thinking about going Ltd myself, seems such a lot of work though and to make it worse my accounts and general business set up are all over the place. Perhaps I need something like this to help me get organised though?
  17. where did you get the sugi from in the end then Ben? Perfect combo for the freelancer btw, its my line up of choice...other than the 150 I use on smaller pruning jobs
  18. that the 9mm stuff Ben? I wasn't a fan last time I used it. I might just go back to the marlow double braid from the local mariners.
