  1. Take it you don't like hard hats ?
  2. Quickbooks. I'm far from running a tree business though and never was. It does everything I need to do and I have my own systems in place for tracking orders etc, but if someone had to pick up where I left off they'd struggle
  3. Doesn't Sage have a quote/estimate feature that can be raised as an invoice?
  4. Just copy and paste it into the reply, it should automatically embed it. Sometimes if you click submit straight after posting the link it wont embed it. Also some links randomly just don't embed, might be the type of youtube link to pick
  5. Nice work mate, thanks for sharing
  6. I have this one, wether or not they'll take conifer though I don't know. You'll have to phone and check.
  7. I know they had it at the arb show, not sure about before that though

  10. nope, somethings broke. Working on it
  11. Not sure mate. Perhaps @STIHL GB can let us know?
  12. Do your homework next time mate. This has been in the pipeline for longer than a month. A google search is always worth while! I remember the day I picked up my new Navara, there was a disgruntled customer in the showroom as he had purchased the old model a month previous and was unaware of the new model coming out. Who was at fault here? Should Nissan have warned any potential customer interested in the old model and end up stuck with a load? The new Navara was no big secret thats for sure.
  13. I look forward to testing this out next month alongside its predecessor which I reviewed previously here
  14. STIHL has launched a new cordless arborist saw that offers professionals an enhanced cutting performance through the use of a higher chain speed and a more powerful motor. Introduced to supersede the popular MSA 160 T, the new lightweight saw boasts a 40% higher chain speed (16 m/s) and a 15% increase in engine performance, making the MSA 161 T ideal for removing deadwood, crown maintenance and light reductions. Designed with easy handling in mind, the MSA 161 T not only has an improved response of hand guard during activation and releasing of the chain brake, but also utilises a precise cutting behaviour to ensure a clean and smooth cut. In addition, the operating system has been enhanced with a sidelock for added safety and extended interlock for comfortable use. The cordless nature of the new saw means that the MSA 161 T is so quiet in operation that ear defenders are not required while working, keeping any disruption to an absolute minimum and ensuring the machine is the perfect choice for use in noise sensitive areas. The new MSA 161 T is powered by STIHL’s range of 36V AP batteries. Using the recommended AP 200 battery and AP 300 charger, the new saw affords professionals an impressive run time of up to 35 minutes on a single charge. Using STIHL’s AP 300 battery, users can benefit from a 50 minute run time. For more information on STIHL’s MSA 161 T or its range of arborist saws, please visit www.stihl.co.uk.

Not easy I don't think. Theres a chance of getting them from your local utilities but in my experience these are usually snapped up by their own staff for their pj's
  17. Copy paste but wait for the software to embed it before climbing submit
  18. stick a piece of timber on the floor beneath the tip of the conveyor, lower the conveyor till the logs taking its weight...step on the middle of the conveyor to fold it
  19. It was once pointed out to me years ago by the guy who taught me to climb, how effortlessy and confidently i would clamber around small 12ft fruit trees with no harness doing minor pruning works. Thats the frame of mind you need to adopt at any level. It is literally all in the mind. Of course when you're 70ft up you're roped in, or should be, but the principle is the same. Like Rich said, trust your gear, and imagine you're just a few feet off the ground. That one piece of advice transformed how I perceived the risks.
