  1. Hi David, unfortunately the apps aren't supported on the latest operating system just yet. Watch this space
  2. Disagree. Its A LOT of extra cash for something that basically lasts no longer. I always used knots on mine Tony. I see no safety issue with using knots over spliced eyes. In fact a knot cinches the Karabiner a lot better also. Using a knot for your main climbing line instead of a splice eye does cause a safety issue however.
  3. Used one years ago minus the rain bars. They are ok. The one we had was on an old Hilux which still had the external lashing points. Was useful for firewood orders as you could mostly cover a rounded load and stretch the bungy over the lashing points. With the newer trucks that come with the frame and toggles this won't be an option though. I prefer the roll top covers, although obviously a lot more money. Plus you lose a fair amount of room at the front for the cannister.
  4. Never knew nectarines could grow in this country. I wonder if they are any good http://www.talatonplants.co.uk/madame-blanchett---nectarine-2-year-old~238
  5. Great fungi timelapse I expect you have already seen this @David Humphries
  6. Timberwolf 190 TVGTR recently stolen near Bisham in Berkshire In fairly good condition bit with no particularly distinguishing features. Serial Number: 45A4DS196002 Please call Simon Stewart on 07917 156971 if spotted, thanks.
  7. Looks like you're starting to get the hang of it
  8. So I guess if I just go to any garden centre it will be hit and miss if I actually get dwarf rootstock or not(not familiar with this)
  9. Thanks. Reading up a lot on this lately as i'm going to do a PTI course soon
  10. I had one of the original swanndri jackets. Trying to think the name of the company who used to sell them. They are no more now but was headed up by Penny. Fantastic jacket, just too warm for doing much in other than standing around.
  11. You can’t get away with anything these days!
  12. Called a resistograph. Commonly used in arb. Not used one yet but do have access to one so it’s only a matter of time
  13. Because it sits around too long. When I was doing firewood is wasn’t a problem. I’d buy a 20l Jerri can full at a time. With just climbing sometimes I don’t even get through 5l over a 2 week period if I’m just pruning and deadwooding.
  14. Anyone had any experience with this? I have a wall I am looking to plant along. A mix of different fruits would be good. I guess any tree can be trained in this manner?
  15. Welcome Karl. No doubt you'll breeze through the test with 5 years(albeit limited) experience. Good luck.
  16. A simple monkey fist would have easily got it to the required height
  17. Must be a mistake with the price surely! Pointless having a crane on a vehicle that size. Even a 7.5 tonner is questionable
  18. Simply putting the pull line higher would have mitigated the risk
  19. Heres the video that @stihlmadasever referenced, along with the guys post. I hope he has learned his lesson, but for him to then refer to this as a 'freak accident' when it was anything but...I don't know.
