  1. https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling/nearby-tipsites/
  2. Much like a maple, possibly slightly more brittle
  3. Acer Negundo, Box Elder. Never burned it myself but its a Maple so I would imagine it burns like most other Maples...well.
  4. i'd say flint for it to have completely stripped the chrome off like it appears it has
  5. Agreed, not the pruning. Had to zoom in just to see the pruning cuts. It was a good job as far as that part of the story went
  6. They are at least 35 tonnes...each
  7. Just the ones on benefits doing cash jobs on the weekend
  8. ? Someones hired themselves an SEO whizz....couldn't have made it more obvious if he tried
  9. Sorry. Just reminded me of a local aerial company round my way who have the slogan on their vans 'satisfaction guaranteed with every erection'
  10. What Mark said, don't waste your time getting one here. When they first came out they were great, then the changed the law limiting them to 5(something or other, forget how they are measured..maybe mah) which is next to useless.
  11. I bet theres plenty not even charging £450 Mike
  12. Have you used the tip site directory to drop wood chip or logs? Please leave a short testimonial below, thanks
  13. I bet they weren't satisfied with that erection
  14. its great what you find when looking at stock image sites though
  15. Really need some images of waste timber tipped up, in a driveway or similar. I did put out a request via email to all the tip site owners in the directory, but it seems its too much to ask for a photo in exchange for all the free chips and timber people are getting. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. preferably high-quality photos. email to [email protected]
  16. Wow thats some silky cut!
  17. It is steel cable. The rods I were referring to were eye rods through the trunk for anchoring the wire
  18. Not 100% sure and without seeing the site it would be hard for anyone to say. Personally I’d just crack on by the sounds of it. Although a good written risk assessment and a banksman would be a good idea
  19. Yes it would. The tree has a tpo on it so would need to give good justification. That would be a heavy reduction. Climbing inspection will help
  20. I would say its been up there a long time. At a guess I would say it was possibly installed at the same time as the reduction was carried out, which at a guess is over 20 years. So my concern is it has way too much tension on it as a result of the regrowth. I have recommended a closer aerial inspection in my report.
  21. haha, stupid spammers
  22. Picus showed the trunk to be sound surprisingly
  23. ah got it. Wasn't showing on my browser
  24. what link are you looking at exactly? I killed the directory ages ago
  25. Don't start ?
