  1. A friend of mine years ago was robbed at knife point. At the time he was working for a company delivering fresh fish. The robber demanded his takings, cant remember how much it was Shortly after I got this guy a job at the place in the company I was working for at the time and he ended up working alongside me for a little over a year. Was a great worker and we got on well. However, some things just didn't add up here and there, but didn't really pay it too much thought. One day the boss discovered that this guy had been altering his pay cheques, considerably...and for quite a while. The bank had photocopies of all the altered cheques, and it was amazing they had accepted them. He had typically changed 3's to 8's, then changed the wording and itinialized it. Looking back there were several things that went missing mysteriously. I suspect the knife point attack never happened either! Not suggesting for a second thats the case here, but it just reminded me of the story.

  5. Posting on behalf of someone... I am a retired kent police officer acting on behalf of an associate who is the IP and is a tree surgeon by profession. When I became aware of the theft of this vehicle I felt that as it was quite unique there should be a fair chance of it’s recovery, if it is still in the UK. Particularly with better publicity coverage than my day! The vehicle was stolen 21st March 2017. Kent Crime report number ZY/011240/17. The vehicle is still Insured by the NFU ref 2017/1844708. There has been no settlement ofclaim by the IP, due to domestic issues delaying his action. It is his preference to see if the vehicle can be recovered first. The chassis number of the vehicle is MKPZBW452559 the Z may be a forward slash. There are several physical identifiable modifications on the vehicle done by the IP, one of which are thetool boxes fitted to both sides of the vehicle as per the photo. More can be revealed should the vehicle be located. The vehicle was taken froma commercial premises in Ashford, Kent whilst being repaired. Vehicle purchased from Crown Military Sales Ltd. Harborough Road, Kibworth,Lecs. LE8 ORB on 20/3/2015. The vehicle is believed to have served at Lakenheath. Any advice or enquiries that may be made would be great fully received. Rod Scawen. 6. Where did you find this link please?
  7. I was kinda hoping we had gone beyond all that, however the last couple of days has seen some pretty childish behaviour. What link are you clicking that goes nowhere?
  8. Did you read my last post? Time for everyone to wind their necks in, you included
  9. How about everyone calms down a little. I’d hate to have to close this thread. Thanks
  10. In answer to length, at least twice as long as the biggest tree you’re likely to climb, unless you have 2 ropes
  11. Just looked at it on my computer rather than phone and can clearly see its just a photoshopped image, for what purpose I have no idea
  12. It was a joke. I have no idea at all whats going on in that photo!
  13. I wasn't even aware they would survive a winter in the UK
  14. All too briefly i'm afraid, but long enough to have got quite excited about it. I would be buying one of the first ones out if I were still contracting thats for sure
  15. Mind if I reformat it and post it in the articles section at some point then?
  16. Mallions are pretty strong. I wouldn't be concerned And yes, you could anchor it at the base of the same tree even, then hook on a throwline at the end of the day. You would need 2 ropes then however.
  17. In the past I have put a ladder up a tree, and coiled the rope up so its not reachable from the ground. Someone determined enough would still get at it but ht will put off the casual thief
