  1. Also there’s not too much fluid being exchanged with this particular masseuse ?
  2. Didn’t see her for about 4 months during lockdown and almost seized up completely! I need to see her every other week to keep mobile. Willing to take the risk in this case
  3. Can’t say I was a fan either
  4. we are one of the least affected areas in the whole flipping country!
  5. So this morning out baby sitter came over to watch the baby for a couple hours. We were chatting with her and she told us how her daughter(university student) had been invited to have a covid test as part of a survey or something. That seemed a bit odd. Why are they inviting people for tests when apparently they can't keep up with tests? Then as the day went on, I went for a sports massage where my masseuese told me she had a letter regarding the same thing. They want her to have a covid test once a week for a month, and then once a month for the following 11 months. They even come to her house to carry out these tests(she lives in the middle of nowhere). Whats this all about?
  6. We certainly got luck with the weather didn't we! Lets see how people stomach standing outside queues at tescos in the wind and rain!
  7. Where exactly? Can't replicate it myself
  8. Congratulations from Arbtalk to David Humphries for winning the London Tree and Woodlands Individual Commitment Award. David has been a member here on Arbtalk from almost the beginning and I don't believe theres many people who frequent these forums both past and present, that haven't taken away some valuable knowledge that he has imparted on us. His knowledge and advice has always been given freely, always going above and beyond to provide in-depth answers to anyone that has asked. One thing that has always impressed me with David(on top of his general enthusiasm) is his organisational skills. Time and time again he revives posts from several years previous, with follow up images and information on previous work he has been a part of. Personally, I struggle to pull up my own threads from a week ago! We've been fortunate enough to have some very valuable contributors over the years to this forum, but I believe its fair to say David has always stood out when it comes to his fungi knowledge, and his general conduct on the forum. Seeing his passion here over the years, it is of no surprise that he won this award, and i'm sure it won't be the last he wins. Well done David, and thank you on behalf of everyone at Arbtalk!
  9. I assume thats the road to the left and the tree's quite weighted in that direction by the looks of it? With that amount of fungus present its quite possible that the root plate is already shot unfortunately. I don't see much point in spending money on a consultant from what I can see in the photo
  10. If they have told you you're not going to be using a saw, then no you shouldnt be expected to wear those things.
  11. Unless it’s a really small tree it’s unlikely it will be much use
  12. Mostly, more to shield my parents than anything else. We don't really go out all that much, although do still enjoy eating out once a week. Thats a nicer experience at the moment though anyway due to most places being half empty.
  13. Yeah I considered that, but really the amount that died although tragic, is not really a huge number on the scale of things...maybe a small dent in the amount of venerable people in the population
  14. In my opinion its entirely plausible that the drop in death rates over the summer was as much attributable to the warmer temperatures than it was the lockdown.
  15. You need to list yourself in the tip site directory
  16. Of course! should be some random sized pieces available at a bargain price soon then ?
  17. Looking at prices, thats probably a crap idea
  18. perspex maybe? unless you are throwing logs in there of course
  19. Nowt strange as folk! I assume that was you who sent the pint earlier. Thank you
  20. Yep they've unchecked the option to receive reviews
  21. ps, pub closed 53 minutes ago ?
  22. Can you give me a link to the listing? Perhaps they unticked the box that allows reviews to be left, i'll check
  23. right at the bottom of every listing. I should maybe change that. Glad you found it useful
  24. What model is the saw? Have you checked theres not any known issues with that model? Stubby's possibly right, but if you've only started having this problem recently and with only this model it adds something else to consider.
