Hey Mark, do you sell files to sharpen Silky saws?

cheers, Steve

We do, or well we did but I havent any left in stock. Will be getting some more on the next silky order.

Definitely more power with a curved blade IME (not that im the biggest expert on handsaws thats for sure!) although a fair bit more difficult to match cuts up if required. So I suppose a straight blade is more versatile?

Taken from Silkysaws.com

Straight Blade Saws Preferred by professionals and hobbyists alike for ease of maneuverability between and among tightly-spaced branches, straight blade saws are easier to control and less likely to nick nearby branches than curved blades. Straight blades also enable the user to manipulate hinge wood for precision log felling techniques. Although incredibly smooth and efficient cutters, straight blades aren’t quite as fast as curved blades.

Get the large tooth tsurugi , I did try a medium which does leave a smother cut but it is not massively noticeable just cuts slower than the large tooth which performs more like a natanoko or zubat but a great saw for accurate tight cuts say on say formative pruning young trees and fruit tree work... any thing else I use a sugoi or ms 150.
