an old boy told me many years ago it is unlucky to cut holly except in the month of December.

That's because they are probably the worst tree to deal with. Branches all over and every which way besides.

Im sure it ll be fine with the appropriate ppe,suit of armour.

 

Ive climbed a ivy covered hawthorn...if its a bad as that good luck mate :001_tongue:

Not done one in thirty years and can't see any real reason (apart from money) to do one.:biggrin:
