I used to make muesli flapjack with butter and honey, packed with dried cranberries and cherries, cinnamon ginger and dark chocolate.

 

Problem was it was intended as a breakfast power bar, but it was so damn good that I'd end up eating 3 big slabs through the day and nothing else!

 

I had a similar experience.I made flapjacks with protein powder and dried fruits and cut the slab up into bars.

At the time i had just quit smoking and was going to the gym most days after work,the problem was- i was as flatulant as a cow after a baked bean eating marathon and was told by the guys it was to stop or i was getting a hastily installed butt plug.

Those flapjacks tasted wierd anyway..

Now there's a magnificent addictive substance, once ya start ya can't stop till you've eaten the whole cake and your mouth is stuck together with the stuff. -superb.

Porridge for me most mornings, got to be jumbo oats, soaked over night prior to cooking (NOT IN A MICROWAVE) and then lashings of either honey or maple syrup. keeps me going till Lunch no probs. Sometimes i make an egg fried rice dish in the mornings too.
