Im open to any saws, but I have to say in that power band im a Stihl man through and through. Ditch the 440 though and get a 461. I have been subbying now for over 10 years and the only saw I use other than my topping saw is the 461...they are flawless.

Agree 100% I think there's a pretty clear consensus on this one!

well its very rare I do chipping! But I can see you're trying to catch me out here.....yes I use the 201t. Very occassionally i might use a company 357 or similar.

Me? Never

As a subby climber those two saws tick pretty much all the boxes.

I'm employed and still usually use my own saws through choice, as I know they'll be running and cutting well.

My mid range climbing saw is a 441 on 20"

I also have a 357 on 15" for ground work/small felling.

If I was climbing and wanted saws to cover all bases 201 with a 12" -461 or 441 on 20-25" and maybe if I had a good year and had to spend some money a 661 or 66 with a 36"

The 461 handles a 25" no bother though and would fill all the gaps if just one saw was needed.

Personally I would chose the 576xp on a 24" though :)
