i really felt for lutalo muhammed last night, in gold medal position till the very last second...

poor git.

Adam Gemili was in bronze except for 3/1000ths of a second! And had the honesty to answer the 'how do you feel?' question by saying he was gutted.

I have to say tae Kwan do or whatever it's called is the lamest martial art I've seen.

The fight between Hugh Grant and Colin Firth in Bridget's Jones diary was more gripping.

Hahahaha, that was brilliant!

If I'm honest it's based a lot on her attractiveness level and a vid of her training.

I think typhoo-kung-fu is a bit like Muay-Thai but 'don't hit them properly'.

It is hard going to watch, you'd think combative sport would be a fight till the end, like boxing is mainly. But tie cwandoh is a tactical nightmare to watch!

Was there a murder just outside the Olympic village on the opening day of the London Olympics?. Was the International Olympic committee struggling with weather or not to cancel an international sporting event due to a pandemic on it's doorstep. How about the extronary measures some countries are taking to attempt to protect their team members from something that really can not be controlled by the hosting country much less any other country participating in this sporting event?. Yes the London games were much better for many good reasons. So far I have not found one reason why the current games in Brazil should have ever started, much less how the country could afford to host the games with all the other current problems known and otherwise.

Well what can we say about the Rio olympics? Great sport, disappointing attendances, but overall a good games, better that Atlanta '96 anyway, the worst organised games in living memory.

Ryan Lochte certainly did his country proud.

Mike, try and get over yourself. I really do not care about any athlete from any country willing to lie and loose all of his endorsements in the process. I would have stripped him of his medals as well, not my call. He only embarrassed him self and is now gainfully unemployed. I remain more concerned about the short and long term exposure of the athletes and visitors now returning to their homelands. It will take several months before the first cases of the Zika Virus are found and confirmed to have originated by contact due to the 2016 Olympics. Did you attend the 96 Games in Atlanta or just think mentioning that particular Olympics has anything to do with my post?

i'll never forget the Atlanta games, mainly the gymnastics where the crowd(predominantly american of course) were cheering their heads off whenever their gymnasts pulled off a mediocre cart wheel, and jeering and laughing at all the other gymnasts when they made mistakes....it was pretty hard to watch.
