I've got a 2005 canter. Forgetting legal weights it carries far more than the cabstar a friend has got (similar age) before it looks wrong and does so faster towing a st8 than the cabstar does dragging a 750kg timber wolf

Mines done 115k ish and used about half a pint of oil between the last services and pulls well. Only gripe is the canter is a rough ride empty and a little heavy to start with. Parts are a little more than some trucks but on the flip side not much falls off, I reckon our parts bill halved compared to a transit

A mate who's a fencer has both and he rates the Canter as a great weight carrier before it looks overloaded (up to 5ton allegedy). Very happy with both though and he's had them a few years

I have run both in the past, I would say the canter is a little more heavy on the construction, but the cab star has a better legal payload. (1200kg)

My Swb cabstar has an awesome turning circle too.

I had a new canter on demo a few weeks ago I thought great truck and the ride is very good now the front suspension is independent. The only problem for us is 130 hp is not quite enough to drag this lot.

Get 1 of these 150 bhp, pulls like a train, crap payload same as any other 3.5 tonner, bouncy when the back is empty, its exactly like a small wagon to drive. built like a tank, the cab is a bit lacklustre and basic but we don't spend all day in it :thumbup1:
