  1. Is it possible to fit a pto hydraulic system to it like a landy defender?
  2. The 4 motion system is unreal.. sooo good, I pull my bandit 990xp around with my 180bhp dsg none 4 motion but will drop most things off the line even when towing the bandit 😂
  3. Currently for a canter but looking to get another truck to have on the company and was wondering if the there is much between the cabstars and the canters? Both look Smart but wanna know from anyone out there with both what they are like back to back? Cheers
  4. Hi Dave, Might be able to help you out with this with our mog and a silage trailer and might be able to sort another out to. message me or text call me 07919551110. simon
  5. currently looking to put a vavah jussi 400 crane on it. that way it won't overload the chipper at all as the weight it lifts isn't that of a farmi so hopefully this will stop someone overloading the crane. the crane i can get cheaper from my local vavah dealer than the winch kit ... plus the jussi crane has a winch on it so i can just use that. the issue with loading the chipper with the skid steer is you need to be practically tracking on top of the brash you want to load to push it as the arms are so small. don't get me wrong the skid steer will out drag anything like a little digger so its horses for course. but i can fill a 7.5t lorry with a machine feeding the chipper in 11mins, so I'm just looking for away to save me having to take 100 trucks to a job to pull kit in.. the crane on the back seems more self contained.
  6. This would show you what I mean by using a crane would be more effective as that's to big and bulky to lift in loads like that by hand
  7. Yeah I thought that, but we run a skidsteer so when ever there's dragging we just use that, the only thing we find is loading it with a machine is a lot more effective than by hand as you struggle to pick up what it will eat, so I though a small timber crane would feed it nice and quick. We feed if with the skidsteer but it's a bit of a challenge .
  8. Just wondering if anyone had though of this or was doing it on their 990?? I quite like the idea and have yet to speak to global if it's even an option but wondered if anyone else has done it ?? Would make loads of sense and production would be rapid. Cheers Si
  9. Pahahaha love it 😂. And I load it with a skidsteer and a mini digger. Another local firm to me load it with with there timber grab on there lorry 😁
  10. .... 2600kg. And that's more energy including the buckets we put in there to
  11. Our Ifor tipper trailer with high sides on a weigh bridge is 1100kg... Put the vermeer mini skid in there at 1.3t ... Plus the bucket or log grab and I'd say near 150-200kg ... Same weight as pulling the chipper around... But no one questions pulling that... Same goes for the tipper trailer and the mini digger in it... 2600kg . And we pulled that around all the time... Got 60k out of this truck pulling them about before we had to change the clutch .
  12. Also yeah I'm going to get the winch kit fitted at some point. Just buying a few attachments for the skidsteer these next few months so after that the winch kit will be a must have. Nope haha I live in Sussex on the South Downs .. Pretty hilly area, but the truck is 165bhp... It will out pull my new ranger with a 3.5t limit 0-60mph And pull up most hills third gear 30-40mph when loaded. Dual carriage ways it doesn't drop bellow 5th gear. Like fully loaded it will pull up 0-80mph nicely ( not saying I do as I obviously stick to 60) but I'm just saying you can . The lorry has been remapped thought so the touque curve is quite high, that said it doesn't really use much fuel . Well not compared to the ranger
  13. Chipper weights 2.7t, And we'll I can fill my truck in 20mins if I'm loading the chipper with a machine 😉. by hand well it's how ever fast you can lift and keep up the pace that it takes 😂. I know a lot of people will think ... Over Wright ..... But nope as the truck has a 3,5t tow limit so I'm well clear of that and the lorry it's self is only 3.5t ... So if you overload the lorry it wouldn't matter if you had a gravity fed chipper on the back .. Because your still be overloaded 😂. Does it fill the can quicker ... Yeah it does.. Because it's eating through a hell of a lot more brash your putting in the hopper ... The best bit is its speeds up getting rid of the waste as now if we have say 30cumbic meters of brash to chip... And it would be 2 loads worth of chip in the truck .. We can feed this machine faster so it means we can fill the van and tip off and come back in half the time trying to fill the van with a 6" machine 😃👍🏻. Roseyweb, get a demo on a bandit and the quality will sell its self to you 😃👍🏻, it's built like a tank 😃 With all seam welds etc.
  14. So after a lot of questioning on which chipper to get I went for a bandit 990xp and what a machine it is 😃👍🏻. It's truely a great bit of kit and so glad I took the jump from a 6" machine to this 12". Two weeks of having it and it still impresses me. I tow it behind a 3.5t canter and fully loaded it hasn't a problem towing it 😃. would defiantly recommend making the jump to those that are questioning it 👍🏻
  15. looking to get a second truck to run along side my 3.5t canter and as we do a lot of work on and off sites I'm worried that getting a 7.5t lorry stuck will lead me into big recovery bills. so I'm currently looking at the mitsubishi canter 4x4 6.5t. not saying I'm going to hit the off road suddenly because it is 4x4 ... its more a case of hoping we have a better chance of not getting stuck if we are on wet grass etc .. those that have had these .. what are they like? and what sort of hiab can i fit on one with a timber grab?
  16. I'm currently looking for a new chipper and wanting something robust and that will last as I only plan to buy one once for at least the next 5 years. Iv been looking about and wanting something in the 8" line up as I feel that this class is above this whole sub 750kg and going to be built to last. Which a lot of people have told me a bandit 90xp is a good choice. Never Tried or demoed one so looking for some strong advice before I do. I'm towing it behind a 3.5t Mitsubishi canter with a gtw of 7t and I have my license to tow so that's not an issue. Opinions please
  17. What's people opinions on the new Vermeer bc190xl?? And / or the tp200 chipper ??
  18. TreeFolk, look at my previous posts and yourl see a lot of photos... Timberwolf have so far been a pleasure to deal with so I can't fault them on that and Greenplant the dealers who sold me the machine have been amazin. But sadly it doesn't solve said problem . So just looking at what else is out there, if not il just settle a deal with timberwolf to get a new 280 model when it's out but wanna see what options I have. Hence why I ask what people think of TP chippers
  19. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone out there has a TP 175 vario?? And what you think of it? Iv currently got a tw230 but due to some unfortunate issues I'm having with it im open to see what my other options are and I really like the look of the TP chippers Cheers
  20. Few issues with mine but that said they have been amazing with customer service and really helpful. But as it stands I'm now at a cross roads of looking at my options if I am to change the machine or stay with them. If I stick with them then I will be exchanging up to the new 280 model that's coming out in sept time which takes over from the 190. But I just thought I'd see what the TP was like.
  21. Cheers Steve, iv currently got a tw230 so would be looking to change to the tp200 again brand new. Just wondering if anyone had tried them back to back and there thoughts??
