1. i use a mini lever bar .. with a steel tube.. works perfect every time and even when its proper jammed with the metal tube it makes turning the drum easy . but yeah this issue with it is the only down side to the chipper . other wise it would be amazing,
2. Alright, So question i got really, did a job for someone today where we cleared a large area of bamboo, like when i say a large area its a large area like a whole garden! reason i ask its that its spreading like wild fire. we've cleared all the bamboo but what is the best way of getting rid of it for the long term, short of digging it out in which its a case for a digger is there many other options? cheers
3. google suzuki carry 4x4 or mini trucks youtube and there are loads of this sort of stuff some have gone to town on them and made them with tracks on which look a pretty good laugh to play in

7. Personally i think its not if its up to the job its more what you can deal with and time etc. i have a cs100 and its awesome, perfect tool for 70% jobs i do and for the other 30% i rent a 8 or 12" chipper where i need to. at the end of the day it all depends on your set up.. if you own a tipper transit ,truck, lorry then buy a road tow. I'm my case i have a pick up so i chuck it on the back and tow a 12ft ifor tipper. chip anything up to 5" and rest goes on as logs and sold once processed into firewood. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachments/large-equipment/167425d1413845203-wee-chipper-club-image.jpg http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachments/large-equipment/167426d1413845289-wee-chipper-club-image.jpg
8. Had my little cs100 out today in a customers back garden as they wanted to keep the chip, managed to make this chip pile in a few hours .. Fair amount of chip that's for sure 😁

Hi mate,

Sorry to bother you, just a quick one to say I saw you posted on a thread I put up about some bf Goodrich tyres for my ranger and you said you had them on yours!! Any chance you could send me some pics so I can see what they look like on it as I'm trying to decide if to go 265x70x27 or 245.. Also you had no run issues at all right ?? <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />.

10. The cooper stt are good but just fancied a set of the bf mud but as sizes change about I wanted to see if anyone else had done it first
11. Cheers guys and Craig that was exactly what I wanted to hear before I bought some as unfortunately try before you buy isn't on offer with tyres haha. Wanted to check Cleanrance was all good was my main thing,
12. So I have got a new ford ranger and the tyres in it arnt the greatest for mud to out it that way. Size currently are 265 x65 x17r I want to put for bf Goodrich mud km2 on it but the closest sizes I have a choice to are either 265 x70 x 17r or a 245x70x17r If I put the 265x70x17 on short of making it a tiny bit difference is speedo ( 30 will become 31) should I be alright with clearance? Anyone with a new ranger help me n this please ?

Tsins

Hi guys and girls, Anyone with tsins for their insurance? Mine up for renewal in a few months and I just thought I'd ask you lot to see your opinion in them?? Cheers
14. Sounds like a great chipper from the reviews everyone's giving on here, and thanks to all for the replies as I'm pretty keen for one as they look great and fair price pretty comparable to other brands. Anyone find the rollers clog with spindliy branches ??
15. Was at the Apf show today and kinda like the look of the tp200 chipper mobile not the pto there, stupid enough I didn't think to ask fora broucher or price list and was wondering if anyone could fill me in with the cost? Also what are these machines like ?? Anyone on here use one at the moment ? Cheers
16. Also does anyone know if you can bring dogs to the show save me leaving him in the house
17. That its I'm sold on this idea.. See you all up there! Il be going up for Friday so hopefully see some familiar faces there.
18. So seen there's a lot of talk about this Apf show and as iv never been thought I might go check it out! What's people's impression of the show is it worth it as its about a 3hour drive for me!!
19. Trick I learnt was get your self a few contract jobs in the pipe line then you don't need to worry.. Basic pay of every month comes in and then fill all those other days with work.. Yourl know that way what you have every month as a basic . You stay s/e with the bonus of being able to set up a solid income with maintance jobs or climb for someone as a sub just to make sure your always booked up!
20. Richy B your point is true which is partly what's drawn me to get a second truck than keep overloading the 3.5t trailer, I have toyed with mog ideas but problem is I need it to be drivable by the guys at work to which pins me to the 3.5t load. By the looks of it reading what people say the iveco is one I need to consider as I'd only been thinking transit but sounds like the iveco is better suited to the job. Would it be worth me getting one with hiab to lift logs on the a trailer next to it or is this something people advise me not to do ??
21. My plans are for me to take the truck and trailer to and the boys to take the van so I could take twice as much as way at the end of the day, but as people mentioned a tipper van just has a poor payload for tree work. Sounds like a lot of you get away with them though. Can I ask why some many of you side with Iveco over the transit ?? Is it just a better van or just a more commercial heavy duty van ??
22. So I feel the time has come were I could do with a second vehicle at work something's the boys can take on the bigger jobs save me driving back and forward in the day to the tip site. At the moment I have a pick up and a 3.5t trailer but I was just wondering what people recommend for second vehicle. Maybe transit or something ?? Good to get other peoples opinions as I'm insure with what to get next.
23. Haha yeah nothing's to say I was on the road carrying the weight on the ticket . Was in my local quarry site weight bridge when we were filling up with some topsoil hence why I don't mind the ticket on here. Really only tend to go over weight with aggregates . As filling it to the top with chip or logs keeps me in the 3500kg towing weight and road legal . But its nice to know if I did over fill it, it could pull it .
