Big cats; yeah, maybe, probably.

Big Foots; no.

It's funny, we had a discussion on these questions not that long ago, can't remember if it was on this thread or another. Not dissing it mind, it's interesting to read others opinions, and perhaps even anecdotes.

I'd flipping love a big cat anecdote. It's reason enough to release a few into the wild in the UK, there'd be some great stories out of it.

There were more and more wolves appearing in my part of the French Alps just as I was leaving, 5 years ago now, but there's been some pretty scary stories from there since. Pet dogs eaten, that sort of thing.

Could have been the Haitians though, not sure.

Bloody immigrants.

I was nearly eaten by a brown bear once though, which was pretty terrifying, so I suppose that's enough apex predator anecdotes for me.

What’s “nearly eaten” by a brown bear Peds? Did he take a bite and spit you out, did he look at you, shake his head and walk off looking for a tastier meaty morsel? Did you out run it?
Agree about having big cats running loose in the UK, it would put a stop to dog walkers after the first little rover had been ripped apart. And no more dogging in some remote woodland carpark😳

Whoops - missed that thread.

Anecdotes would be good, and a lack of anecdotes probably caused by a lack of big cats?

Well, basically the thread went like this… there’s some as says there are big cats roaming the UK countryside, and there’s some who says there aren’t.

I’m in the second camp.

Wasn't one of those sightings of a "large black cat" actually some dude that got a jolly from dressing up in latex and creeping around the woods on all fours?

Personally I'd rather take my chances with the cat.

Here ya go. It's easy to miss the interesting stuff in this thread amongst all the tedious noise.
