Making the news today....

UK national debt - the public purse - was increased by about 17% due to Covid... the increase from about 65% of GDP to 100% of GDP is only half related to that, the rest is the Tory party financial management. The last Labour administration ended with us owing roughly the same as when it had started (that was Tony Blair and Gordon Browns mis management).

Most (actually since there has been no budget.. all ) of this years tax rises have been set by the outgoing Tory party with future implementation dates.

My take is the sane as I said before Mark, it is nothing more than softening people up for tax rises. Above inflation pay rises for public sector ( think unions and paymasters) need financing from somewhere. Quite frankly I care little Mark. They are all the same and if people need to experience the financial incompetence of a Labour government before they realise this then so be it. You didn’t reply to the PFI pic I put up 🤷‍♂️that’s classic Labour lunacy that is still being paid off. Regarding debt can you imagine how much better off we would have been had we not followed the insane path we did during the covid farce. Something both parties clamoured for, labour far more than most. Anyway you have your party in the Tories are out and at sone point theh are gonna have to take the ball and run with it.

I've said this before but here you go again. I didn't vote the current government in. If Corbyn was still at the helm of Labour I would have voted for them. He's not, so I didn't.

I can understand why you have issues with extra taxation. I'm sure I'll have the same woes when I'm making 20k a month on Renewables. But the thing is, you live in a society that pays your wages so you have to expect to pay some money back.

You can't admit that you were mugged by the Tories.

At least the current bunch appear to have the courtesy to lube us up before they shaft us.

Which is in itself something of a problem, given the alarming quantity of PFAS found in a great number of condoms and lubricants recently tested.

CRIC is a multifunctional rope clamp: ascender, pulley, rope clamp/pulley or progress-capture hauling pulley.

Particulates have a lot to answer for. But we're all going to die of something.

Have you seen one of these before? I visited a mate at the weekend, and his mate who is significantly into rope access pulled it out of his pocket.

I’ve said multiple times the tories were shit Mark

Not sure how you equate that to not admitting ive been mugged off. Mark you can spend 34 years and tens of thousands of pounds training yourself up and sacrificing a hell of a lot of family time and you can get the qualifications I have. You let that socialist envy show through don’t you. You know fine well I get and have never taken a penny from the state, self employed which means no sick pay no pension no holiday pay. If I’m not at work I don’t get paid. It’s totally my choice Mark and I can assure you I pay more than my fair share of tax. How do you come to the ludicrous conclusion that society pays my wages? My primary income source is within Oil and Gas and occasionally within the Renewables game, I’ve got news for you Mark that’s all within the private sector. Let’s not go down the taxation route eh, you know fine well you  have boasted about how good your accountant is before 🤔

I've heard chatter about them, they look bloody lovely.  And 20kN load, it ticks all my boxes! Might invest in one one day.

Corbyn would have solved the 20 billion shortfall by taking 10k from each of 2 million rich folk, he could do that quite a few times before the rich would be tapped out.

The upstanding, diligent pillars of the community would call it theft.

They know their superior brainpower entitles them to boss around spastik people like me who cant achieve what they have. The captains of industry will only be masters of the universe if the government lets them treat ordinary people as wage slaves.

Apart from being soft on immigration and building too many houses, Labour arent too bad.

Nationalise all water would be good, even with incompetent government managers at the helm, with no dividends going out, there would be a huge saving. All private ownership haseven done is load utilities with debt and continue to pay dividends while not investing in repairs and upgrades.

Id pay more tax for a nationalized defence factories, shipyards, hairdressers even

Have you ever thought about seeing a specialist? You seem to get hyper-focussed.

My good mate left the army as a Warrant Officer First class. It was only after he's left that he it was determined that he had ADD all along.

I'm going to keep voting Green. They'll keep me in business when they get in.
