..... And AI.

All I can ever think about when that comes up is Paul Simon... I should pop over to songs I am listening to, or rather that will be stuck in my head for the next 4 hours

Yup, more storms and more frequently on the way I reckon. Probably all carbon dioxide related why they are getting worse.. if only there was some way for society to exist and not burn fossil fuels.....

🤷‍♂️

Yep all related to carbon dioxide 😞that’s why we see a huge reduction in use of flights by those who are preaching to the masses about the perils of climate change. The latest save the world junket at Bletchley Park for example. If teams meetings and such like were adequate for the plebs during the covid farce why not for the never ending round of international gatherings we see every year. Often as not followed by proclamations regarding how we should behave.

My sanguine thought about the weather and our climate, is that since the dawn of humanity, it has always been in a state of flux, driving many human migrations and conflicts, and causing the fall of many sophisticated civilizations, as is evidenced by geological and archilogical evidence.

And that our current Westenn civilization arose due to a particularily favourable benign of climate that favoured crop growing and animal husbandry.

And that we cannot nor will not change these climatic changes.

We could on the other hand reduce human population expansion, "growth economies"  and our concurrent progligate energy and unneeded material consumptions, which in turn add to the extensive destructive mining practises, deforestation and the vast piles of waste that pollute our planet.

Without returning to the Dark Ages.

Thre more short term rapid  climate change versus a slower natural speed of change is the issue  that makes it harder to adapt to.

Things such as the predicted seas lvl rise on not very long timescales,  changes in rainfall patterns affecting agri productivity etc

But I agree a reduced global pop would make adapting to climate change so much easier & also reduce climate change & increase quality of life as there would more of the finite nature based  resourses to share out per person without surpasssing the numerous  ecological damaging boundaries.
