Good on him, I've put the heating on full blast and had the taps running all night in celebration.

Anyone witnessing the hysterical response from the mainstream media and globalist elites like Merkel/Obama/Macron would think Trump is about to blow up the planet for the hell of it.

.

LOL, I like the last line...

But your goin to have to do a lot more than run your taps for one night to catch up with my frugal use of heating and water use...:thumbup1:

I see a Tory MP, Craig Mackindlay fighting for his seat in south Thanet is being charged with electoral fraud.

I wonder if it will make the so called un biased BBC news...

Conservative candidate Craig Mackinlay charged over Tory election fraud investigation | The Independent

Didn't you know? According to the Daily Fail, the BBC is a hotbed of lefties ( Nick Robinson and Laura Kuensberg, anybody?) which is why the audience for the Leaders debate was so hard on poor Amber Rudd. No mention of the planted Conservative councillor on Question Time recently, though. :001_rolleyes:

Explain this please Richard.

Keeping in mind what Felix posted.

It's quite simple businesses are going to either cut staff or cut hours if they are forced to pay higher rates. Either that or put prices up putting inflation up making the higher rate pointless as they will be no better off than before.

Not saying I agree with it but in the real world it's what is going to happen

Do you think it's acceptable that business's pay low wages and the rest of us make up the difference in benefits whilst Mr business owner drives off into the Sunset?

That is what's happening.

We are being mugged.

I like the way a figure of £10 an hour is plucked out of thin air, from where I am sat that just makes a lot more people unemployable. I can see employers dropping off staff or canning the ones they do have to balance the books. Its that or jack up prices which just triggers inflation . Dont the rich just get richer when the economy goes tits up ? all those repossessions, cheap factories, fluctuations in shares and the money markets......................Boom and bust

Bob

Nobody seems to be acknowledging the inevitable snowball effect either.

If the bottom rung becomes £10, the bloke that WAS on £10, now wants £13, the bloke that was on £13 now wants £16 etc, etc...

In my experience of pay negotiations, just because somebody wants £x doesn't mean they get it. :001_smile:

That's not quite what I meant Felix.

It would be normal to expect a progressive scale and it must have an entry point.

If the entry points was set, then goes up by X, would it not follow that all associated scales would similarly go up by the factor X?

The consequence of not doing so would be a kick in the slats for anyone that was more qualified or taking greater responsibility only to find entry level gets same pay for less graft/experience/skills.
