Making the news today....

So to sum up the main news from last week: Terrorist attacker kills 22 at concert attended by many children. 8 people have been arrested so far.

 

Is this not a reasonable topic for discussion in a thread called "making the news today"? Are the motives of the attacker not a reasonable topic for debate?

 

I get this is a website dedicated to trees. However we've also got familys and we do things like go to concerts in our spare time.

 

I've a question for the people that want to ban discussions: Would you allow discussion on politics/ religion/ terrorism if it was an arbtalk user iinjured in a terrorist attack?

Yes, it was an atrocious event. The situation in the UK is a bit of a mess at the moment. But I think we all realise that.

 

You have made that point so many times over the last 20 or 30 pages. It seems your posts are purely made just to incite controversy.

 

As you seem to be an expert on UK politics, Terrorist activity, extremism and anything else you have an opinion on...

That is where you are 100% wrong matelot. I haven't voted since I was about 18. I am 43 now. I am neither left, right or in the middle.

 

I agree on a lot of points and can see both sides of the story but you just seem to repeat the same point over and over to get a reaction that suites your agenda.

Wasn't serious - I enjoy the drama muchly! But I dunno how many here are members of Arboristsite too - like four of the top ten threads there are political, including a Manchester thread - and those fellers don't mince words. Its all relative...

 

 

I don't think they mix well , I asked questions about rigging forces and so did others on another thread and no one replied ... any one with true knowledge of the subject and many others seem to dissociated them selves with the forum at a wild guess can you think why ? .. instead we have the usual people going around and around in circles trying to make the other side a bigger ****.

The thing is with arborsite is no one with any knowledge uses it tree buzz is a far superior forum and arbtalk is starting to closely follow arborsite in its footsteps in my opinion.. It will just end up with matelot mull and a few others going around in circles over bollox debates with the occasional newbie question chucked in just like arborsite.

I really don't see it as some thing to be proud of, or not proud off.

 

I am proud of having a great family, providing for my two kids, seeing their achievments.

 

Putting food on the table, being good at my job, being respected for what I do and the actions I take in life.

 

You presumed to know me from one or two posts. You don't know sh1t in that regard.

 

Whereas, you have put it down for all and sundry to read. It seems pretty easy to work out your agenda.

You need to give that opinion some serious consideration.

 

 

For sure, not every post consists of startling revelations that we should all take on board, but believe it or not a small amount of common ground has been identified. This is very important.

 

We all know that Matelot likes to provoke, this doesn't mean that all of his input is invalid. I don't like his tone either but he does raise some points that we should be discussing.

 

Please note that we are posting in 'the lounge' as the rules dictate. We are not interjecting our thoughts on the future of humanity into crown reduction threads.
