I dare say it might have been prudent to completely neutralise the threat. Especially with another shooter at play.

There's a saying amongst 2A advocates in the states: "I'd sooner be judged by twelve than carried by six"

Fair okay to that bloke though. He'll never pay for a drink again.

Guessing he doesn't drink, but yeah, massive credit where it's due.

Eleven people were killed in the shooting at Australia's Bondi Beach, as crowds attended an event to celebrate Hanukkah.

Lots of confusion about his identity on twitter, some saying he’s as you state, some saying he’s called Edward Crabtree.

Now he’s a Lebanese Christian to add to the mix 😃

That's weird. Any idea why there's such conflicting information? Couldn't get much more different in terms of names, and inferred heritages. I've not been following the story closely.

I cannot believe the bravery shown by the guy who took the gun off the terrorist - absolutely incredible.

It was very impressive to say the least. Big respect to that man. 💪

I hear that he took a couple of bullets from the shooter on the bridge but is doing good.

Well it doesn’t really matter to most people….too bad it will be weaponised by some though

Personally, it would restore my faith in humanity somewhat if it turned out to be an "Ahmed".

As long as he wasn't just embarrassed about the clumsy mass shooting and wanted to show the shooter hope it was done...

While the tasteful period of time expires and everyone can then get to deporting foreigners, criminals, foreign criminals etc, I'll get in first with my cause.

The Australian state bars people from carrying firearms for self defence. Let's say there were 1000 jews in the park. Let's say it was all families of husband + wife + two kids. 250 men. The jews know everyone hates them. They're also fighters. If 10% of the 250 men there were carrying, that would be 25 armed men. That's a platoon. If the 2 chancers knew what they might be up against, would they have done it? I suspect only if they wanted to appear on the front page of Jew Today, full of holes, under the headline, 'DON'T MESS WITH JEWS.'

Death toll currently 15. We can safely assume all 15 of them were praying for the (armed) police to arrive in seconds, not minutes. At least some of them will have been crouched behind a bin, thinking, "Christ. I need a gun, now.

And some politician (with armed guards that the little people pay for) will look into the eyes of their widows, widowers, orphans etc and say no. Indefensible.
