This one puzzles me, is the former head of MI6 simply shit-stirring to settle old scores, or is he misinformed or deluded(highly unlikely)

Marcus

The media is an outlet for the whole range of public feelings on any given subject so, luckily, we don't have to investigate the truth of anything ourselves. Remember this old nugget from Yes Minister?

Sir Humphrey: The only way to understand the Press is to remember that they pander to their readers' prejudices.

Jim Hacker: Don't tell me about the Press. I know *exactly* who reads the papers. The Daily Mirror is read by the people who think they run the country. The Guardian is read by people who think they *ought* to run the country. The Times is read by the people who actually *do* run the country. The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country. The Financial Times is read by people who *own* the country. The Socialist Worker is read by people who think the country ought to be run by *another* country. The Daily Telegraph is read by the people who think it is.

Sir Humphrey: Prime Minister, what about the people who read The Sun?

Bernard Woolley: Sun readers don't care *who* runs the country - as long as she's got big tits.

Thick, or made up for a laugh?, bored waiting for a tanker.

That was hilarious Egger. If ever you needed evidence in support of Big J’s argument for removing the vote from the underclass.

Particularly liked the T shirt election timetable sketch. 1 piece of information- 2 completely contrary interpretations of it. Both interpretations completely appropriate given the input source but resulting in an intransigent difference of opinion. - classic trickery.

Is this former head of MI6 the same one that stuck his nose in the election calling Corbyn a “danger to the country”or is this a different shit stirrer?

surely someone has asked him to back up his claim?

Show us the proof or shut the f**k up I say.

Thats not shit stirring, that is/was a legitimate opinion. Considering Corbyne is a terrorist sympathizer and openly supports various factions then I'd say his qualified opinion is valid.

Id also like to see some proof, but I doubt he's in a position to hand out classified docs like that. Having held the position he did shows beyond a doubt that he is qualified to make such claims.

Personally Id welcome more of his opinions, with or without proof. They can be weighed for worthiness but at least someone has the balls to speak out.

He could claim anything then, without backing it up with any evidence, and that would be okay by you?
This guy ‘was’ head of MI6, he isn't anymore, so why would he still have access to privileged secret info?

If this claim was true, and there was conclusive evidence that China had created this pandemic in a lab and caused this shitstorm, they would already be in isolation from every government in the world, they aren’t, do you really think Trump would ignore it?

No, as I said his comments would have to be weighted for worthiness. His past position as the head of M16. He has, in my opinion, earned a degree of respect and his comments should be treated as such.

Im not saying thats 100% whats happening. But I dont think its beyond the realms of impossibility he still has a lot of contacts who would pass him, or at least show him or discuss with him classified infomation.

I dont know if his claims are true. Id certainly consider them with the respect due to someone who held the position he previously did. I think Trump ignores almost everything told to him by men and women in their relevant senior Military, Intelligence or security Position. What Trump does or not do has no bearing here.
