Couldn't agree more, on both counts. IIRC, he's a UK citizen so where would he be deported to? I would be interested to know why he was released, albeit to a bail hostel, after serving less than half of his sentence.

With all the council budget cuts I can see this happening around the country fairly soon.

Can’t access the link but the point I’d pick up is - just don’t believe the hype (from LAs) about LA budget cuts being the cause of service demise. It’s the golden gift that keeps giving (and keeps being repeated and blamed for poor service.)

 

Yes, of course there are, and absolutely SHOULD be budget cuts. Larger LAs and unitary authorities still have 6 figure salaried executives though and the rationale for that is because they need innovative, experienced, capable leaders. 

 

They need to to start earning their money instead of reverting back to the easy strap line - it’s the government’s fault for cutting our budget. 

 

No, your organisation is inherently and systematically inefficient, bloated, wasteful and idle. From the very very top to the very bottom. 

 

Over the past 4 days I’ve watched +/- 15m of timber post and rail fence being replaced nearby. Always a minimum of 2 blokes + 1 van, sometimes 5 blokes & 2 vans. 

 

Thats 1 days work for 1 bloke in any sensible reckoning - how the hell they managed to stretch it to 4 days and so many workers is truly staggering!  And that’s the 100% LA owned “arms length” company billing it back to the public purse. 

 

Budget cuts my ass.  LA’s need to get a grip and start delivering.

Back to the Saudi's for a minute.

After denying that the murdered invidual was even there, they now say that he was killed in a fist fight with fifteen other people who arrived on the Crown Princes planes the day before (without the Crown Princes Knowledge).

 

Personally, I'm not buying what they're selling.

 

What's more worrying is that our government appears to be going along with their version of events as they like selling weapons to them so they can blow up Yemen.
