I'm self employed so it's a purely (Self-funded) selfish pursuit.

But still you'll have to work hard to get it! If you do get to that money you'll have earned it I have no problems with people going and getting! I commend it more should try it!

Whey, that's one for the economists. It could be said that encouraging wage growth in real terms would be beneficial to the economy. Did your lass get a bursary for her nursing? I've mates who did, that doesn't happen anymore.

I would quite happily take 'free' tuition fees for a masters though...

No mainly because she's a teacher[emoji16] but no to that as well. Though for wannabe physics teachers they are being offered £20k to train up and be one

About 10 to 15 % of the population should be funded through University, the brightest 10 to 15%, regardless of income, this process should start with a screening process to identify the brightest early on and educate them appropriatly.

Then the next "x" % provided with proper trade training, and some of the harder working tradesmen will go on outearn (some of) the University lot.

Then the rest of the working population.

Then the underclass/scroungers.

Politicans should NOT be allowed to be elected to run the country, until they have proven themselves in the real world, not direct from University Students Union or Community Activist jobs.

i.e. an apprenticeship in looking & sounding good, making airy promises and mostly spending other peoples money.

But that wont happen.

I'd drink to that. Might have to make sure a few primary school pupils are given more than 6.8p for a breakfast though.

Why should my increased taxes pay for your healthcare in the form of NI etc. then?

Everyone benefits from healthcare regardless and that's the point. Just the individual benefits from higher education and will get an increased wage because of it. Should I get funded to start my business with a free tipper and a chipper so I can earn more as well?

If you want to better your knowledge fair play, you're a grown up, pay for it same as I did by investing in tools and training

Well surely everyone would benefit from a workforce who generate more money. Ergo: Hoying more back into the pot?
