Especially for loader work, and credit to JD, they had some very clever but simple to use electronics sharing the hydraulic flow between the wheels and the loader, that prevented spinning or stalling or bogging  the engine down and all while working the loader to the max effect, called Powermatch or somesuch, it certainly was very very effective.

work used to have one of the 3720 john deere and yeah that powermatch certainly was great.  an amazing little tractor that punched well above its weight and in terms of loader work was better with a decent weightbox on rear.

How much did it set you back?

I give £1200 for it 4/5 years ago

Its probably increased in value by £1000-£1200 quid in that time

I put a new clutch and flywheel gear ring on it last year

great old tractor, throws up less fault codes than my others ?
