Potted up it might be worth that, think how expensive trees are to buy. For firewood then it's a bit steep...

We once removed one free of charge and replanted at another clients house we charged the client about £850 if I recall took a day to excavate and replant and it's still thriving now.

If you really really wanted one then all the agro and extra cost of tree spade and transport is worth it. I'm sure if you could find one that big in a nursery it would be a lot more than £1000 just for the tree.

That was my thought. It isn't clear what the seller is selling it for though.

 

I got a price for a Q robur, 40-50cm so semi-mature size. The cost for that was over £2500 + Vat, but I think transport was FOC:biggrin:
