Like Steve my Stihl can is 10 years old, non spill both ends, although I've probably replaced both in that time.

Filling the 540 is a PITA, the oil fits, but not the mix, so I have to take it off.

Small price to pay though.

Haven't tried the new Husky can, but my last one was so woefully bad I hoyed it on a big fire.

Exactly. Same here. I'm trying a husky. 👍🏻 Although, I'm more a stihl fan. I won't be buying another 540. I'll try the new 201 before that. But I do need to fill the 540 and the stihl oil spout is getting on my nerves.

Not totally impressed with husky can the storage bit is good as tools don't fall out when you upend it (unlike the Stihl BUT mine is under a year old and the fuel spout leaks if you don't lock it when filling oil and the oil leaked round th neck and when I tightened it it cracked, (so then put 'manual' spout on but the dog has developed taste for bio oil and chewed the end😫), have broken Stihl spout fillin 540 before now but feel the it's the better can.

Have you tried spitting on it then guiding it in with your thumb?
