While we're on hypotheticals, if a person had bought one of these Echos, and removed/lost the spark screen/retaining screw, and trimmed the exhaust cover, would Echo still be happy to take that saw back?

Hypothetically, Rob, what would happen if one were to continue using the 2510 (accepting the risk of spontaneous incineration) until the 2511 were released?

I would have thought so, the returned saws are going to be destroyed.:001_smile:

Well I am impressed by Echo's way of dealing with a nightmare problem. All power tools seem to have some sort of issue at some point but where as other firms make improvements then get money from previous customers who can not put up with the issues on the pre-models echo have gone above and beyond in my eyes. The deal they are offering sounds pretty darn good. And I would definitely start looking at there smaller saws next time I need to pick something up. :-).

Just tip some petrol on it and set fire to it before you send it back and tell them it caught fire while you were using it :thumbup:
