I guess that they've run out of the 280's because we've got them all!

Using mine for first time properly today. Did a bit with it yesterday and wasn't that impressed but seems to be loosening up a bit now, just levitated about a foot off the ground to give it a workout taking out a conifer hedge and it's cutting quite well now

Valuable skill that levitation....

I've got the 360tes and the exhaust has burnt through the plastic around it. That's the second time :( absolutely gutted as I love that saw. Wondering if anyone has this problem/has heard anything?

Same here. But to be honest, that could be a self inflicted stab in the back. I drilled an extra hole in the muffler, so I was blaming myself for burning the plastic cover.

S'funny how this thread has changed from how great Echos are to the opposite.

To be honest Mick, I'm not at all that bothered. They're handling it far better than some companies.

I've been so impressed with the saw that I'm not about to throw my toys out and get a 150.

True, if some companies had recalled every saw that had persistent and seemingly unfixable problems we'd all be back using axes and cross cut saws by now.

Echo have put their hand up, are recalling and will be replacing the problem saw and in the meantime are giving out loaners which in the end you can buy for £100 and still get the replacement. What else could you reasonably ask.
