Not so bad with the right kit, like a log splitter that can drive right up to the tree, and split your 3-4ft diameter rings without having to lift them , or cut into blocks with the saw

Finally cutting some straight wood with nice beech coming in.

 

Also decided to prune a low tree on the way back.

Deep into the boggy wildness pulling out some storm damaged beech. Too good to leave behind. Drag was 500m through some rather wet hollows requiring all the extra rubber on the old girl.

Have you dualed the fronts as well or gone for wide profile? Never seen dual fronts.

Duals, cheaper option, plus easy to undo as it makes steering a pig especially with the front weights. Generally a smaller diameter tyre is used on non-power assist tractors I believe so you don't get the extra drag when steering but do get the lift required when you start to cut the ground. I tried 13" wheels from a berlingo van but fiddly to bolt on and off.

Almost at the end of our nice straight beech, it might blunt chains fast but I'm going to miss it when we get back on bendy oak and alder.
