Mull I think what he is trying to get across is that licensed legally held weapons are used in a minuscule amount of gun crimes. Clamping down on legal weapons will have little effect on the amount of gun crime in uk. But it's an easy political point scoring exercise!

I'd agree with that commando, not sure who he thought I was tarring? My point was that more guns in society might mean more gun crime.

I'm prepared to be corrected on that thought!

Not really sure where the sign in question is located. I do know that Hunters that travel from state do transport by air rifles and shot guns as checked luggage.

I think you'll find legal gun ownership in the UK has risen over the last 20 years but gun crime involving legal firearm ownership has fallen, so not simples at all.

That's confusing the simplicity in my statement... I didn't mention criminals, unless suicide is classed as criminal behaviour?
