£30 for a 240l wheely bin, everyone knows what a wheely bin is so no confusion. No stretching as with bags and simple and easy to move but more manual handling.

I used to wonder if you got more logs in a 2 cu metre tipper body than you do in 8 240 litre wheely bins.

Charge accordingly.....if you are up to your eye balls in finance and a good outlet then hey ho £80 plus but if you have low overheads ie one man band and want to keep hold and look after a few regular customers then £40 .

Just remember the more you charge the more the customer will moan about the log size etc and will go else where .

Moral of the story with every job ....DONT BE GREEDY ..keeping busy 5 days week is better then 2 greedy days a week and spending time looking for work when work just flows in being Fare .

That wouldn't work in practice since all logs are different sizes, if that was the case I would be going out to buy an 8 way splitter. :001_smile:

Cubic meters is the closest to fair you can get in my opinion.

We did once have a customer complain that they had 476 logs when last time they had 497 a few years ago though which we couldn't quite believe. Should have offered them a bag of kindling to make up the difference...

Or some toothpicks😀😀

Reading this got me thinking a bit when using the processor

I'm filling 1m3 bags with wood in around ten minutes.

2 logs at 4.8m x 20cm TED is 0.4m3 and a cube bag won't take more than two of them packed loose and certainly won't take 3 if stacked neatly

Interesting to see the variation.
